My fault for not paying better attention to the details. I searched Amazon for USB 3.0 and I got this. All the drivers installed automatically on Win 10 PC. It came with a driver disc. Although Techkey (another manufacturer) included a USB drive for drivers. Disc drivers are okay, but newer PC's don't all come with optical drives. Not an issue for me though. I only had to restart the PC once and everything was set. It does help to disable the stock WIFI adapter if you have one. My stock WIFI adapter is N standard at 72mps (Even though N can do at least 300mps if the adapter permits). I would have preferred USB 3.0 since my machine has that, but I didn't read enough of the details. I did get an increase WIFI connection speed & Bluetooth connectivity on one USB device so that's a win. With the bottle neck at my CPU I don't think getting a faster WIFI connection would matter to much. Overall I would recommend this to anyone wanting something better than stock WIFI N & Bluetooth support. I haven't tried the 5ghz WIFI yet, but I highly recommend it when there isn't much space/distance between the transmitter and your device. It's usually less crowded than 2.4 frequencies. Living on a street of row homes it's freaky how crowded WIFI has gotten in the last 7 years or so. If you're having issues I would recommend downloading a WIFI analyzer app for your phone, & see for yourself how crowded the frequencies and channels are in your area. ... show more

Despite having 400 mbps internet, I can only manage to get 150 mbps or so with the USB adapter, but that's way better than the wireless card in my 10-year old computer.

It only lasted 2 years. Stoped working after 2 years and had to replace it. Could not find any other item that combines Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for this price. Good product for what it does. However, poor quality means it only lasts a short time.

At least for me, the bluetooth driver would not install for windows 11. I kept getting "there are unauthorized bluetooth devices" message when trying to install, even after disabling the bluetooth driver that comes with my pc. The installation page shows wifi driver for windows 11, but only windows 10 through 7 for the bluetooth driver. ... show more

This dongle w/antenna was just delivered about 20 minutes ago. I have Windows 10, so all I had to do was plug it in and restart my computer and, voila, both the WiFi and Bluetooth were up and running. Actually, I also had to login to my router from my computer after I restarted. Very easy setup, truly plug-and-play. I'm impressed with the signal range. I can go throughout my almost 900 sqft apartment, including the closets, and still hear the audio clearly. With my last dongle, I couldn't do yoga without the audio breaking up and completely stopping, and I was only about a foot away. Plus, the WiFi connection is just as fast as the wired connection was. I wish I had bought this one the first time. I was worried that I would have to have the antenna pointing sideways, but the connector allows you to orient it in any direction that you need.     • Honestly, it works, but not great.
So, it does work. I plugged it in and it reached the highest internet speed I could hit with my service. However, the bluetooth wasn't working at first, and the site for this product is rampant with misspellings and hard to navigate to figure out what driver you need. (Hint: the product number is on this listing, but nowhere on the box itself as far as I could find. Maybe I missed it, but I dunno.) When I finally got bluetooth working, it was spotty as heck through my headphones. Fine if I was just sitting at the computer, but crackly if I stood up to grab something a couple feet away, and don't even bother trying to go like ten feet or more. Also, every time the computer went to sleep, the adapter turned off entirely and wouldn't come back on when the computer did. I had to reach behind the computer every single time and unplug and replug to get the internet back on. So... it works, but it's janky. I just went back to my old adapter and got a different headset that didn't require bluetooth. ... show more
