I contacted the brostrend support people and they guided me through the process of eliminating the problem in my Ubuntu setup. On the second try the driver for their WiFi installed without a hitch. Though the listing states this USB Wifi is also for Linux-base systems, you will need to go to the Bostrend's site, search and download the drivers, as they aren't shipped with the device. Works beautifully once the drivers are installed for Linux Ubuntu, Mint, etc. OS. You must use an ethernet cable to do this first. Then copy the drivers and install from there. Very happy with the performance. Thanks

Solid wifi adapter. Lacking GOOD linux support. I could have read the instructions, but searching for drivers online is not the most enjoyable thing. Get these drivers up-streamed into the mainline kernel, and the user experience will be much better. Overall, 'satisfied', but not 'wowed' with my purchase.

I do not recommend this product. The size of the item was unnecessarily large. Even though I have multiple IT Tech Certs, and have done countless successful Linux installs of all kinds of gear, the ease of installation score I give this item, based on my experience is a certain zero. Thus, no speed, no connectivity, nor signal strength scores are available either. NOTE: Another brand, far more "basic," 1/5th the size and nearly half the price, installed in the same Linux machines in seconds flawlessly, unlike this gigantic "Frankenstein Thumb" monstrosity.

No problems with the device itself, but I hit a snag when installing the driver (on Kubuntu 24.04) - it threw up an error message saying it couldn't write to a directory. It turned out that was because the directory didn't exist. Once I had created it, the install went smoothly. With the driver installed, the device worked perfectly.

I've been testing this adapter the last few days since it arrived. Mi conclusions so far? .- It has excellent compatibility with Ubuntu 24.04 .- Top download / upload speed .- Great stability I recommend it.

Good WIFI adapter for Linux. Initially ran at slow speed for me. This turns out to be an issue with the Realtek drivers defaulting to USB2 mode instead of USB3. Contacted tech support, who were excellent and pointed me to the correct support doc to get it going in USB3 mode.

This says Linux. I have the most recent version of Linux Mint, a popular Linux distribution. I followed instructions and tried work arounds from the net. Nothing could make it work in several machines. I just found it in a bag section of unused stuff.
