  • Pretty decent sound for the price
Style: X5 Pro Color: Black
I’m not unhappy with these buds. The sound is crisp and the bass thumps, as long as the song thumps. The sound cancelling is not bad, the transparency mode is decent and, so long as you don’t leave them in either (sound cancelling off mode) the battery lasts most of the day. Both buds have the the same battery life (within minutes of each other) and the case charges the buds rather quickly and charges them to full more almost three times. I highly recommend these for any audiophile who lives in a budget. ... show more

I like them very much, they stay charged for about 7 hours and the sound is superior to my others.

  • Versatile and durable earbuds

Fantastic earbuds for daily use. The active noise canceling is decent enough, and the audio quality is great. Fast charging and game mode are nice bonuses, and the app customization adds a personal touch. Highly recommend for anyone seeking quality and convenience!

  • Bang for the Buck
Style: X5 Pro Color: Black
These earphones sound good overall. They fit in the ear comfortably. These are not for hard core workouts, running, exercising. The fitment issue for me was solved by better ear tips. Sound quality is great for the price point. They are not on the level with higher priced models but will do the job.

  • In terms of cost-to-function, these are a winner!
Style: X5 Pro Color: Black
I’m a loyal AirPod Pro2 user but decided to give these Edifier’s a try. I’m very impressed with how good are. Are the quite as good as the AirPods? No. Are they close? YES. Are they less than ¼ of the cost of the AirPods? Yes! Sound? The audio quality is excellent. I really can’t hear the difference in movies or music. Noise cancelling? They’re not quite as good, but they’re close and perfectly good. They were fine on an airplane watching a movie. Controls? The Edifiers actually give much more you can control and program. This is nice in theory. In practice it was kind of overwhelming. You can program either ear bud to respond to “double tap”, “triple tap”, or “tap and hold”. The things you can control are pause/play, previous track, next track, sound control, game mode, volume up, volume down and voice assistant. I ended up just using the app to control things. A couple little, odd things. I notice my breathing more with the Edifier’s than with the AirPod Pros. I can’t quite figure out why. Is it actually amplifying my breath with its mic? Is the material just stiffer and therefore more resonant? Are the AirPods reducing this through active noise cancelling? I don’t know. Not a big deal, but not small either. I think wind noise is louder with the Edifiers in my ears as well. A bigger deal that I finally solved had to do with max volume. The volume of the Edifier’s was lower than that of the AirPods. It only mattered when I maxed out the volume on a plane and the Edifiers were a little too quiet. I finally realized the iPhone was limiting the max volume to protect my hearing. There is an iPhone setting under Sounds & Haptics  Headphone Safety  Reduce Loud Audio. I had it set to 85 decibels max. This was plenty with the AirPods but not the Edifiers. When I raised that limit I could then increase the volume on the Edifier’s by a lot—plenty. I have to assume and hope that my iPhone is overestimating the actual volume of the Edifiers and that they’re still at a safe level. I ran a test putting the Edifiers up against the AirPod Pro2 for voice quality while talking to a friend. He reported that the AirPods made my voice sound better to him than the Edifiers, but the Edifiers were still OK. In conclusion, it’s hard to beat Apple on technology (and they plan to further upgrade existing AirPod functionality with the next iOS update) but these Edifiers are still an excellent choice and vastly more affordable. ... show more

  • Dollar for dollar these are a better value than the AirPods Pro 2 (UPDATED)
Style: X5 Pro Color: Black
UPDATE after a couple months of using these: These have become my daily drivers at the office. After giving these a glowing review early on, I wanted to come back and confirm that my original impressions are still holding true. The sound on these is exactly what I want from a pair of casual use true wireless earbuds. And the ANC is every bit as good as I stated in my initial review (below). At the $34 or so they're selling for, there's no reason to not get these! In short, my favorite parts of these earbuds happened to be the most important parts, IMO. The active noise cancelling (ANC) is surprisingly good, like real good. I would say it's about 70% of the ANC you can get on AirPods Pro 2 (APP2). Part of that, though, is that these naturally do a good job of isolated outside sounds already. The ambient mode, however, isn't great. I'd say it's about 20% as good as you'll find on the APP2. In fact, I don't use that mode at all. The sound is another aspect of these earbuds that surprised me. It does lean in with the bass forward, but not to a boomy level like many cheap earbuds do. This is on the more balanced side—but again, not as clear or balanced as the AirPods Pro 2 (which, to me, are the gold standard for TWS sound quality). That said, the sound on these is still very pleasant, and the best profile of any cheap true wireless earbuds I've heard. What I didn't care for so much are the controls. Touch controls aren't great in general, in my opinion, but Apple has managed to make them more intuitive and natural. These take some work getting used to, especially when it comes to counting how many taps you're doing, and which side you should be tapping for which features. The case is also cheap feeling and slippery. I almost dropped it a couple times because of its shape, slickness, and light weight. But to keep these at the price they are, I get that Edifier had to cut corners somewhere. That's fine with me. On a final note, I noticed the ANC dropped out almost completely on the left earbud one of the first times I used it. I don't know what caused that, but the only way I could reset it was by taking them both out of my ears and re-fitting them in my ear canals in different ways. I have't had that problem since. Overall, I would recommend this item based on my experience. Despite a few tiny drawbacks, these things compete way better than they should be able to with AirPods Pro 2, at like a fifth of the price. Take a chance! ... show more

  • Exceptional earbuds for what they are!
Style: X5 Pro Color: Ivory
They earbuds are exceptional for what they are! They have long battery life, I've almost never had a connection issue, they have never broken in any capacity, and they sound great. The only issue that I have with it, is that you need to be signed into the app to access the "find my earbuds" feature, that's a little lame. Otherwise, definitely recommend these earbuds! ... show more
