I bought this for my son's playpen. We have hard wood floors and even with foam under the pen it's still a hard surface when my son falls asleep or slips. The rug is very soft but textured so my little one won't slip as easily. It needs to air out for a few hours because it smells like a new rug but that's expected. Overall very happy. I bought a 3x5 rug and was very happy with the look and quality but noticed that the rug is about 3 inches short of 5 feet. Bought a second 3x5 and a 2.5×6 and both were also short by several inches. The length was not critical for me so I am keeping them since they look so nice.
