Description

The Edelbrock Performer Series Manual Choke New Carburetor features a two- piece, all-aluminum construction for cooler operating temperatures and less warping. It is designed and calibrated for good street performance and fuel economy in the Edelbrock Performer manifolds. There are no gaskets below the fuel bowl level for fewer leaks and no plastic parts or power valves to blow out. The Performer manual choke carburetor includes both timed and full vacuum ports for ignition advance. The carburetors use easily changed metering rods for precise tuning.

Edelbrock are my favorite carbs, i bought this one as an amazon used carb...bad idea, someone had installed it then taken it apart, they lost all the keepers for the actuator rods and messed up the acceleratpr pump, what a mess, i got it fixed and now its fine, but buy the new ones...

    • Throttle shaft play
I installed the carburetor on my truck and while I was fiddling with the throttle linkage, I noticed gas almost pouring out of the side of the throttle shaft. I gave the shaft a wiggle and there was so much play it was unbelievable. I got online to see if they offer bushings to fix the play - nope. Unlike Holley, Edelbrock doesn’t have a fix for this problem. Based on what I saw online, this is an extremely common issue with Edelbrock carbs and there is no fix. Unbelievable. So now I’m out 400 bucks. I will never buy another Edelbrock. ... show more
