Before buying this Ecraft cutter, we tried three other cutters that appeared identical and none of them worked. They were cheaper of course, but I guess you do get what you pay for at times. This one cuts right every time, and the lighter surface makes it easier to see where I'm lining up the black sliding guide thing. One of the previous ones was all black, so it was hard to see where I was lining up the black sliding guide, because it was black on black. Really happy with this purchase. I'm cutting text blocks for books that are half inch thick. I can literally shave off 1/16th of an inch to clean up the edges.

Cuts well, and as advertised, it can cut a stack of paper. However, it is difficult to read the measurement when lining up for the cut. You can't view exactly where the cutting edge lines up. Everything else is great. Easy to use.

This paper cutter is EXCELLENT!!!!!! I received this for my birthday and I am so grateful. It makes my craft life so much easier. The cutter handles paper very well and is very easy to use. Unfortunately, the description states that there is excellent after sales support. Im wondering how? There is no phone number anywhere for ECraft and there is nothing, not even a snail mail or email address on the limited directions I received. I need a new cutting bar. Without it, the cutter is useless.
