Three shims per pocket (Four pockets total; two shoulder and two seat/back) that are thin but effective in helping make temporary saddle fit adjustments. What a world of difference to have a balanced saddle again! Horse feels better, and my position problems were fixed instantly. Highly recommend this product. Looks good under dressage saddle and fits under my 17.5" seat Trilogy saddle very well. The price was right and I can change the angle slightly with the shims. Even with a good saddle fit, it helps to elevate the back of my saddle because my mare has such high withers it is difficult to get saddle fit perfect all the time. This is nice quality cotton, and it doesn't seem to slip with my dressage pad. I did some hills as my test and this pad passed with flying colors. Great buy and good value. ... show more

Worked perfectly to correct English saddle fit on my high withered Mustang. The pads are a dense memory foam and there are several of each for a truly custom fit. I lucked out on the first try and it worked like a charm. I have recommended this pad to others at the stable where we board. Super nice quality, especially for the price! I bought the half pad to use under both my English and Western saddles but haven't tried it under the Western yet. I'm sure it will work just as well. I purchased this pad out of desperation as I had an endurance ride coming up and the flocking in my dressage saddle had compressed and it was dropping too close to my horses's withers. Tree is too wide. With some adjustment of the foam shims in the pad, problem solved! My horse had zero back soreness after the ride and it stayed put. I took a risk and got this pad from Amazon. I normally wouldn’t get stuff for horses without seeing it in person it because my horse is very specific about the gear he needs. But I am delighted that I took the risk! This pad is well worth its money! My saddle stayed level and gave so much clearance to my horses withers. It worked perfectly with my western saddle. Well made half saddle pad with multiple shims you can use to adjust thickness. I bought this pad for my english saddle that was a touch too wide for my horse. The Celtas out until I can get a professional Saddle Fitter out to fit the saddle to the horse. I recommend it!

So happy to have found a reasonably priced shim-able half-pad that fits under my 18.5" dressage saddle with room to spare. Super quality, I've always loved ECP's products and am happy to have found this. The navy is a gorgeous shade of blue, and the shims are perfect for when I have slight saddle fit issues due to the changes in my horse's back as training progresses.
