    • Worked wonders for my mare!

My mare has been having a sore back due to poor saddle fit and aging. I needed a bounce pad, but most of the half pads I looked at were so expensive! This saddle pad is made of thick but flexible material and the pockets concealing the support pads stay closed but are easily accessible if you need to build the pad up more. I like it because I can add more padding or take out padding depending on which horse I'm riding. I could get rid of the saddle riser after buying this pad. It fits perfect on our 14 hand hackney pony with my daughters 14.5 saddle and a 16 saddle. It doesn’t bunch up under the girth like a lot of other pads do with smaller saddles. The pads come out easily to clean.

I've been searching for a saddle pad to better fit my Barefoot Cheyenne saddle, Size 1. Currently using an Equipedic endurance pad and it's huge. I couldn't bear to spend $300+ on a barefoot pad made for this saddle, since I'm not sure I can trust the foam on the barefoot pad. It seems like most of the serious endurance riders prefer equipedic and there has to be a good reason for that. This saddle pad sort of fits the saddle, a little too short front to back. It's a much better fit than the equipedic endurance pad. I love how it blends in almost seamlessly with the saddle I rode in it and it seemed like my horse was less likely to fully relax his neck downwards, so I'm guessing the thick dense foam creating a better spine clearance from the equipedic pad is a must for us. I'm keeping this saddle pad and just bought the equipedic replacement foam to use instead of the foam shims that came with this pad. I think that will give us the best of both worlds for half the price of the barefoot brand pad. I'm also anticipating this pad to be fairly easy to clean since it appears that the foam will be very easy to install and uninstall for washing. The media could not be loaded. The saddle pad fit my horse and my friends horse. (17in saddle) One of the best material for a english pad. My horse really enjoyed it and fit very well. I didn’t seem to see any issues besides the padding. I’d recommend getting your own gel padding and cutting them to fit. Other than that it’s a great saddle pad and i’d for sure recommend to anyone looking for a good quality pad. :) ... show more

I bought this to use on a Thoroughbred mare in her early twenties who has the classic high withers with a hollowing topline. I usually use a saddle pad and two cushy half pads to help her be comfortable. When this arrived, I took one of the foam pieces from the back and put it in the front where she needs it, and it was the first time I got a perfectly even sweat mark when taking off the tack. Definitely improved the saddle fit and she seemed completely happy and comfortable with just one half pad! It's a winner! ... show more

This is a high quality pad. I’ve been looking all over to find an English pad that has lots of support. This comes with several foam pieces that can easily to removed or added depending on your horse’s needs. I highly recommend.
