Used this light fixture to replace an ancient chandelier. Installation was simple and super easy. All you have to do is make sure you turn off the power at the breaker the light fixture is connected to, Pull down the old fixture and plate. Run the cables from the ceiling through the center hole and anchor down the new plate. After you have done all that its as simple as connecting the wires together and connecting the fixture to the base.     • A bright light for the right job
This is a great light for a closet, storage room, workshop, or other out-of-the-way location in your home. However, an inexpensive plastic light fixture might not be what you want for the main areas of your home. With that in mind, my review is for how well it solved the lighting problem in a dark and little-used basement storage closet where the existing light fixture was inexplicably placed on the wall above the top shelf — blocking the illumination from reaching the shelves below. This fixture assumes you'll have an electrical junction box on the ceiling or wall. Unfortunately, the spot where I wanted to place the new light fixture didn't have this, so I needed to improvise by running surface-mounted wiring to the new location, which also required modifying the new fixture with a bit of help from a rotary tool. It works. It looks fine for a formerly dark basement storage closet, so I'm happy. You might not want the hassle if you're in a similar situation. If you're mounting the fixture over an existing junction box, installing it should be smooth sailing. The fixture and mounting plate are plastic and lightweight, and the LED lights inside are bright. I would have preferred a light that was a bit warmer (5000K is a cold white light, similar to daylight). As I mentioned, it's for a basement closet where the light might be needed once or twice weekly for a minute or two. I wanted a flush-mount light for the wall in my utility room. This was a perfect fit. I removed the lightbulb housing and the round baseplate for the light was the same size as the round box on the wall. The screw holes weren't perfectly aligned, but close enough I could get both screws in and tighten each side until the base plate was on there. Then I wired it up with the included wire nuts, twisted it on, and it was installed. The light is plenty bright to light up my utility room and is out of the way so I don't have to worry about breaking a bulb sticking out of the wall. ... show more

This ceiling light fixture is easy to install. The included instructions are detailed and easy to understand. The wires are color coded, just match to the wires in the ceiling and use the included caps in the installation kit. The light is bright with a nice spread. I installed the fixture in my laundry room. Its twice as bright as my old incandescent bulb fixture. This light is meant to be a disposable item, its completely sealed with no serviceable parts. ... show more

The light is very bright and is a very white light. I purchased for a closet and it provides very good task lighting. Not difficult to install. The light has a small profile which I like. As with many Chinese made lighting products, it is cheaply made at a cheep price. Not high end looking at all if that is what you are after. Sometimes I find it interesting the things one may not think to factor into a choice until... I have had this light fixture in my hallway for years. It has become one of those things that I like it enough and see it enough that pretty much I don't really see it anymore until... cleaning day Then I will notice that due to the design of the light, dirt gets on top of the globe and I have to clean it. What can I say? If I never had to clean again... So, technically there is still nothing wrong with the light. And then I had a lightbulb moment of I have something like this in the kitchen that I purposely chose because the design ensures my never having to clean the top of it and so....YES PLEASE! Now I share all of this because in a way, there is a part of me that might tend to 'poo poo' this choice because the price point is so very reasonable. And yet, this light does and looks and functions not more nor less than what seems to be perfect for me. I mean I could have afforded something with a larger price point, and yet...why? So, if you are put off by the low price point... Full disclosure, I did not install this item. However, the person who did, having installed ceiling lights prior, had no problem installing this item. Added two of these to replace some aging flourescents. LED so much more reliable and bright. Whole garage space feels much better and brighter, and it’s not even a very large light. Easy to install as a normal ceiling fixture. Great for the laundry area! It’s a 5 for us.
