In short, this is a cheap option for a compact, warm-weather sleeping bag. It’s quite small. I’m 6’2” and 165lbs, and it was definitely “too small” for me: I put that in quotes because to some extent I didn't care about the size - I wanted a cheap, small, lightweight sleeping bag for a fly-in fishing trip: I’m young and don’t need much comfort to fall asleep, so this fit the bill. I slept with it unzipped and as a sort of burrito wrap, and for that it worked fine. Depending on your temperament (pun intended), you’ll probably find this more than sufficient for 50°F weather. Even better, use it as your bedding for a cabin, because it’s easy to pack and more than enough for that use-case. If you’re looking for something for backpacking, get something a bit nicer… I got this for ~$29; it’s selling for a little less now. In my opinion, it’s worth a little closer to $22-25. ... show more

this things is awsome. was able to last minute buy it for my scouting trip up in idaho. my first sleeping bag was very big and bulky and weighed 6lbs. i hopped on amazon and found this thing after looking at 2 other bags that were either too big, or to heavy.

This is a “warm weather” light weight sleeping bag! It’s VERY thin as far as internal stuffing. For sure, no cushion for sleeping on ground! It is NOT meant for camping in cool, let alone cold weather climates! It will not keep you warm at night unless you are somewhere which doesn’t get below 65-68 degrees! The bag is only rated to 60°F. Don’t get me wrong. I am happy with this bag for the price & my purpose. Hence the five star rating. Purchased bag for car’s emergency kit. It stuffs into a very small compression stuff sack (which is also very nice & well made), taking up very little space! I would NEVER use as my primary camping sleeping bag. I’d freeze! May be good for sleeping at someone house as long as you are sleeping inside. Over all, bag looks well made, is wide enough to fit an adult of average size, I’m 5’.5” and the bag goes way over me! Someone over 6ft would still be comfortable in terms of length. For an emergency bag it’s perfect! I figure putting this bag inside one of those “Mylar emergency” sleeping bags would do in a pinch till help arrives. Emergency Mylar sleeping bags are only a large sheet of Mylar sealed into a rectangular sleeping bag shape opposed to the “Mylar blankets”. The sleeping bag is ok. I don’t think it will last for long and feels rather cheaply made, but thats why it is not expensive. My biggest critique is the cleaning directions. I bought this sleeping bag several years ago. I spend a lot of time outside camping. I typically use name brand equipment. I even own several name brand sleeping bags. This is still the one I come back to the most. Why? I run summer climbing trips for kids and this sleeping bag is actually far better for sleeping in warm weather than any of the others, including my fancy summer bag. It's lightweight, it fully unzips, and it packs down small (although you'll probably want to pack it in a better compression sack). When I bought it, I was looking for the lightest non-down sleeping bag i could find (I'm allergic to down). I wanted it to have a rectangular foot box and to pack down small. It didn't need to work for cold weather. I got frustrated with the name brand options bc none packed down nearly as small, so I decided to try this one and I haven't looked back. I use it in the spring, summer, and fall. During the cooler times, I just use a lightweight liner with it. If the temps drop below 45 at night, I do switch bags, but that's fine. I've had this sleeping bag for 2 full years now and have used it on several camping trips in the Northeast US. What I love about this bag is how compact it gets when stuffing it into its pouch. I keep it under the rear seat of my truck but it can easily pack into a backpack or other container for storage. The material has held up well, and it doesn't seem to hold on to any sort of odor. Nothing has broken and it looks and functions like new. I find the bag to be a good size and it's spacious enough for me to roll around at night even if I'm layered up inside. A couple of small gripes are that the zipper sometimes gets caught on the material when zipping quickly, but not really that big of a deal. The bag also has a hooded part that is supposed to go around your head to keep you warm, but it's too baggy and doesn't stay on your head at all. I wish it was tighter with more elastic tension. I also wish there were two zippers so I could unzip the bottom if my feet get hot. There's only one zipper, so you'd have to unzip the whole thing. This bag is NOT meant for cold temperatures. Anything lower than 55F at night and you WILL be cold. I just got back from a trip in NH in June, and I was still a little cold at night and had to use an extra blanket. Last year, I did a trip in April and slept with 2 layers on, and was still frigid enough that I was scrambling to cover myself with anything that I had laying around (towels, clothes, etc). If you're camping in early/late season and you expect temps to be in the low 50s or lower, this is not the bag for you, even if you layer up. Spend a few bucks more and get something thicker. This bag is great for summer, or warmer areas of the world where temps stay above 55F at night. ... show more
