  • Perfect for one person.
Size: 1.5-Quart Snack Size Color: Aqua
In my 70's I have always been old school making popcorn. I even have a vintage heavy 3 quart I used just for popcorn, actually a heavy aluminum Wagner Magnalite with a wood handle that has to be hand washed. A while back I stopped making popcorn. I always used popcorn oil and added in real butter and popped it on the stove. The popcorn was always great and yummy but cleaning the heavy pan was a chore as the butter and oil would make a sticky coating on the lid and the inside of the pan. I just didn't like the cleanup and on occasion I would burn the popcorn which made the cleanup even worse to the point of using an sos pad. I never bothered with the air poppers and all those kind because they just took up too much room to store and most are all hand wash too. I stumbled across this popper on a reaction channel. I have a small 700 watt microwave that I rarely use and thought I would give it a try. I have found that adding popcorn oil, some real butter and a bit of popcorn salt into the popper and popping it into the microwave for about 30 seconds heats it all up nicely. Then adding my popcorn to pop. The time for my 700 watt is 3 minutes after a few fails in timing. Of course a big microwave will be much less than that and especially using the small popper. I found the taste to be the same as popping on the stove but so much easier and faster. I have a countertop dishwasher and I find that the popper gets much cleaner in the washer than doing it by hand. I noticed there would be water in between the glass and the outer plastic that just wouldn't dry and seemed to be discoloring it. Once I started using the washer there was no more water build up and seemed to be cleaner between the glass and plastic. I would recommend using a dishwasher for those having any concerns about this buildup between the glass and plastic. It does in fact make a huge difference and much better than hand washing. Anyway that aside, I now make popcorn no less than twice a week and I just love this popper. ... show more

  • Great popcorn popper
Size: 3-Quart Family Size Color: Blue
Best and easiest method of making popcorn. Pops up light and fluffy, easy to use, easy to clean. We have had it for more than a year and use it about twice a week and we've had no trouble with it. Of course it is glass so it takes a bit of care not to break it but with normal use it should last a long time. Put a couple of tablespoons of butter in the bottom of the 'jar' plus a tablespoon of a neutral oil like avocado, microwave for 30 seconds to melt the butter, add the popcorn and shake in a bit of salt if you like. In my microwave it takes a bit over 5 minutes. Dump out into a bowl and stir a bit to distribute everything evenly and enjoy. This way I don't have to add butter or salt at the end. ... show more

  • The Best Popcorn Popper
Size: 3-Quart Family Size Color: Red
Popcorn is my favorite snack. I found this microwave popcorn popper on Facebook and read the reviews from customers who purchased it on Amazon. After reading the customer reviews, I made up my own recipe for popping the kernels successfully. I heat the microwave with a cup of water for one minute. I use two capfuls of popcorn, 2 tbs of olive oil, and 1-2 tsp of popcorn seasoning. I stir this mixture together in the bottom of the bowel and then place it in the heated microwave oven for 3-4 minutes. My popcorn turns out fluffy, flavorful and simply delicious. Even my husband who has never been a popcorn lover, asks me to make it several times a week. I purchased the 3qt model in red. I would recommend this product to friends and family members to enjoy. ... show more

  • Popcorn made easier!
Size: 3-Quart Family Size Color: Red
This popcorn maker arrived on time and in great condition. My wife is a big popcorn fan as was eager to try it out. It came assembled right out of the box! All you had to do was place a cup of popcorn kernels in the bottom of the glass bowl, then you place this rubber grommet on top and place a stick of butter on it. Once you microwave, the butter will melt on top of the popcorn and also will act in the place of oil. Pop for a few minutes and your popcorn comes out perfect and buttery. Add seasoning to your taste and you have great popcorn ready! ... show more

  • a nice popper
Size: 3-Quart Family Size Color: Teal
I really enjoy this popper! Washing it makes me a little nervous, because water stays between the glass and plastic which seems like a breeding ground for bacteria and mold (though nothing visibly gross has happened there for me yet). But once it's all dry and I throw it into the microwave, it pops my popcorn beautifully. In my microwave it takes about 3 minutes and 45 seconds (which is longer than expected, but that's how long it took 'til I had the 2 seconds between pops - and they didn't burn). There's been a layer of unpopped kernels at the bottom, but I think that has more to do with the brand of kernels I bought than the popper itself. And the butter melting at the top works as expected. It's a little annoying that you either have to wait for the popper to cool down so you can eat out of it, or dump your popcorn into another bowl. Overall though, this popper is working well for me and I'm enjoying the popcorn it's making :) ... show more

  • Very convenient for small batches
Size: 3-Quart Family Size Color: Red
Works as expected. Nearly as convenient as a popcorn bag, but way cheaper in the long run. Just add popcorn and pop it in the microwave for a few minutes, then wipe clean and throw it in the dishwasher when you're done. The instructions recommend putting butter in the lid before you start the microwave, but I recommend adding it afterwards since otherwise the butter melts completely before the popcorn even starts popping. I also like to add a little oil and and salt beforehand to flavor the popcorn and help it pop more evenly. This product leaves more kernels unpopped than an air popper, but I still prefer it since it's way more convenient for small batches. Note that the product description is lying about the bowl being glass; it's clear plastic. Actual glass would probably be a bad idea anyway though due to its fragility. ... show more

  • Great answer to the dangerous microwave popping bags
Size: 3-Quart Family Size Color: Red
I havenโ€™t made popcorn for years because I am concerned about the chemicals in the microwave popcorn bags. This solves the problem. You do have to experiment a bit with the best amount of popcorn to put in and balance between a small amount or burnt popcorn due to putting too much in and not having enough room for the popcorn to move around when popping ... show more
