If you are looking for some savings, this will help. we have an extension of a pantry/cooking all types of kitchen appliances storage, the one thing I didn't anticipate was forgetting to turn off the light. It is very easy to turn the light switch on but not so much turning it off, mainly cause you are not thinking about it, having hands full and returning to cooking or other activities. I find myself turning off the switch as I find it on, which seems to be almost always. Installing this after a small research as to finding out if I had a three or four wire switch, I ordered it, was very easy and simple to install, instructions are very clear. Has to rotary opts to adjust for sensitivity and for length of time for light to stay off after no movement is detected. Highly recommend this device, no telling how may nights my light was on die to not switching the light off. No more, it is done automatically. This looks pretty nice on the wall as well. Get it, LOL.

I wanted to upgrade my office bathroom with a motion switch. This kit comes with everything you need: Switch, face plate, wire nuts, and clear instructions. The only things you'll need are a screwdriver or two, and perhaps a magnifying glass to read the instructions, which are well written, but rather tiny print. Have your reading glasses or magnifier handy. The description says this will work with LED and CFL bulbs, but the box and instructions don't mention LED/CFL bulbs. So far it's been fine, but if that turns out to not be true, I'll update this review. My concern is that this works without a neutral wire, which is my situation. However, older no-neutral switches like these would "leak" a little bit of current to allow them to function. This would kill LED and CFL bulbs prematurely. Again, so far it's not been a problem with my LED bulb, and unless I experience repeated premature failures, I'll assume this is a more modern version that solves that problem. There are dials which you'll need a tiny flathead screwdriver to adjust after removing the main switch cover. These set sensitivity, ambient light, and time delay. The sensitivity and ambient light you'll have to figure out by trial an error with counter-clockwise-most being least and clockwise-most being highest. Same with delay. Lowest setting is 15 seconds and highest is 30 minutes (1,800 seconds). Set this to whatever you think works best. Just remember when you're not moving in the room, it will turn off after the delay. Set this accordingly, or if the light goes off, wave at the switch. The ambient light setting is great for a room that might receive enough daylight from a window or door that the overhead light isn't necessary. My setup has no exterior lighting, but hallways, and other rooms do. This will set the switch to turn on only when the light level is low enough and motion is detected. The included faceplate matches the color and style of the switch and you'll need it if your existing switch isn't a Decora type switch, but a more traditional toggle type switch with a small rectangular opening the faceplate.

I recently installed this motion-sensing light switch, and I’m genuinely impressed with its functionality and thoughtful features and design. The unit itself is sleek and user-friendly, offering the flexibility of standalone power control via a push-button or automatic motion-sensing activation. It comes with its own switch plate, which adds a polished, professional look to the installation. Mounting the switch into the outlet box was straightforward and hassle-free, though it’s important to connect the grounding wire properly, as this model is designed for wiring without a neutral wire. I installed this switch in a stairwell adjacent to a busy hallway, and initially, the motion sensor was a bit too sensitive, triggering whenever someone passed by. To address this, I added a small shield to partially cover the PIR sensor, which helped limit accidental activation. I tested it multiple times to ensure it only activates when someone enters the stairwell, and with this adjustment, it now works perfectly for my needs. One of the standout features is the inclusion of three adjustment dials for sensitivity, time delay, and ambient light level (to prevent activation in bright conditions).
