I own two of these for a genator and snowblower. They work absolutely fantastic at keeping 12 volt batteries charged and ready to go. Even includes a reverse polarity adapter so that you can use an extrension cord. There's an idiot light on the back of the charger that will tell you if it is working properly, and if your battery if fully charged. Bought charger #3 for a diesel tractor that was giving me starting challenges. One day after hooking up one of these chargers to the tractor and VROOM!, the tractor started like a champ. Highly recommend this 12 volt solar trickle charger.

It doesn’t work very well without bright sun. And my car has a peripheral drain problem, which I should have known a solar charger can’t account for. I’m keeping it because the price was right and shipping charges to return it could be like half. I can find a sunnier spot to park my car and will keep trying, as well as work on the drain issue. My Noco Genius 5 is a much better trickle charger, but I have no garage. I will work with the options that exist. I hope this helps people.

Perfect for my requirements. My car sits outdoors for weeks at a time. I do not have a garage, so a plug-in battery tender would require an extension cord, which is not ideal in bad weather. Someone mentioned a solar version, which sounded like a great idea, except most of the ones I found used an always powered on cigarette lighter socket or battery clips (which would be a pain as well). I noticed this model has an OBD II connection which is always powered on. Perfect. I was not sure how much length I would need because, I was not sure where I was going to place the solar panel. So, I bought a 12 foot extension for $6. Turns out, the extension was not needed after all. The 6 foot length was enough to get me to my drivers side rear window. I was planning on keeping it plugged in while I drive, but the instructions say not to keep it plugged in when starting, so I just plan on unplugging it when I go out. I tested the battery level before plugging in the OBD II and after, to make sure it was charging. So, this should work out well for me. Winner!

Seems to work although I'm yet to see the indicator flashing green which would indicate battery fully charged, despite brand new battery and multiple days in full sun. Perhaps the draw on the battery when car is off is slightly greater then the charging speed. Multimeter seems to indicate that the battery is trickle charging.

I now have more then one of these as my generator would constantly kill the two batteries due to the auto start draw. These have resolved the issue for months and the entire system is less then just an inverter. Ice, Snow, Wind not an issue!

The product description lists an OBD-2 (on-board diagnostics) connector to allow easy transferral of solar power to the car battery. But the package arrived WITHOUT the OBD-2 connector. I ordered a replacement and it, too, arrived without the OBD-2 feature. When I spoke with human Customer Service, the agent put me on hold for 4-5 minutes, then returned to the phone and said something negative about ECO-WORTHY and advised me to obtain a similar item from another vendor. Without the OBD-2, this item to me is defective.
