I purchased the 84w unit for camping. I go about once or twice a year. I thought it would come with some sort of carrying bag for the items but no luck. Not a huge deal. I’ll probably end up finding some sort of hard case to keep it protected anyway(smaller plastic tote). Pros: super light weight. extremely simple design. Comes with 3 lights which are awesome and come in very handy. Comes with a solar panel which is really nice for the price. Unit also can be used as a portable light. Good batter life. *Purchased to charge portable lights, cell phones, and fan. We ran the fan all night long after using the units 3 lights before for an hour or so and it still had 1/3 of the battery life left when we woke up. Was really impressed with this. Cons: only has one USB port so if you can’t charge multiple devices at once. Isn’t blowing anyone away with the looks. Solar panel doesn’t fold or have a stand. Makes it a little difficult to transport. Would 100% recommend this item to someone who’s going camping. Really solved a lot of issues for me and my family for such a low price. ... show more

I live on a large property that turns into a 'big dark' at night, and wanted some lights outside that are more substantial than the usual solar lights with tiny panels that die after a few hours. This unit works great, with plenty of light that lasts all night. I have a large solar generator with a big panel, but I wanted something smaller and less expensive just for outdoor lighting. This is perfect. A few things to know: 1. The power (blue button) has to be on for it to charge. Sounds simple, but I suspect that some of the 'dead unit' reviews might be from people trying to charge the unit without turning it on. 2. This is not a rough and tumble unit that you can throw in a pack. The case is ok, but it is very lightweight and dropping it from a height would be a no-no. It is not designed for backpacking. 3. As with all solar, angling the panel toward the sun will charge the unit faster. 4. The unit is 84Wh, which isn't a ton of power. It will run the lights and charge small devices, but a usb fan would drain it rapidly. 5. The panel can be left out in misty, damp conditions, but the battery box is not waterproof, so keep it dry. If you appreciate it for what it is, this is a great, inexpensive lighting unit for car/ family camping, power outages, sheds etc. The all in one, plug and play design is super simple, and a nice introduction to solar. Just don't expect more from it than what is was designed for. Update 4/14/21- Just a quick update on this unit. I have been using it daily for about 2 months now, and it is still working well. I wish the lights had sensors to turn off at dawn and on at dusk, but this unit wasn't really designed for daily use, so I can't complain much. That said, I am about to order a second one because the first one has worked so well. UPDATE- I have now had this unit for a year, and it is still going strong on solar alone with daily (read: nightly) use. I usually only use one bulb, but that is because I don't always remember to turn it off during the day. Both battery and panel are outside 24/7 (battery protected from rain, but housing gets damp), and they still work just fine. Highly recommend. ... show more

I have bought three of these, one for myself, two for family. I have had mine since 2020. It is very useful for hanging the lights in outside buildings when you need lighting. It is perfect for when there is a power outage. The 3 lights light up my living room much better than candles. It is cheap but works great for its size. I charge my phone as well as kids toys. I ordered 2 for presents and one of them had a long screw hanging down. That is the reason for a score of 4. It was aggravating to have to send it back but the customer service was great. I sent a message of it being damaged, they had me another one at my door in 2 days. I was really surprised. I use mine also as a flashlight if I need a really bright light. I think they are cheap priced and are great for small uses. It will not power up a laptop I wouldn't think but I have never tried that. I have two other large power stations that I use for big projects. This is perfect for when the power goes out and you need lights in a room. The lights have long cords and hangers to be able to hang them up high. Hope this helps. ... show more

I now have 4 of these two 84w and two of the lower wattage. I have one in living room, dining room, and my bedroom and one held to swap out while charging others. I hope to have one in almost all rooms soon. It has helped me keep my electric bills down. I use them almost everyday, I love that each have a solar panel to charge up or can be charged by plugging into electric. Solar panels aren't the best you need strong sun to make them work but I still can get them charged on good sunny days. The lights are nice and bright I have only needed to have one plugged in at a time which illuminates things just fine. If we lose power I might need to add another. I feel it's a good value for peace of mind and for helping me keep my electric bills down. I am happy with my purchases and look forward to getting a couple more. ... show more
