Panel arrived as expected and was of good quality. I am a little skeptical about current output. I believe this is most likely typical for the solar panel market. With a dead short across the panel output wires with an amp meter I was able to get about 1.1 amp in direct sun. 25 watts should be closer to 2 amps. Maybe I would get 2A in the Mojave desert. What I appreciated most about the their service was that I received the panel on prime day and noticed it was on sale. I decided to contact the company, and they graciously offered me some compensation, which was appreciated. ... show more

I bought this to keep my motor home start batteries topped off and it works very well. I'm running it through an inexpensive Renogy 30 amp charge controller and just have it laying flat on the roof. I'm going to mount it to a small board with carpet on one side so I can just toss it up there when I stop on trips. The one I tried before this unit had reversed polarity at its junction box and only had output when facing the sun directly. Added this panel to a 5 watt I already had. Tried lower powered panels to keep 2 12 volt parallel wired batteries charged. For those using a solar control panel with gate opener, the wiring from the panel to the opener often times is not connected as indicated in owners manual... I use this panel to power a "12V-24V DC Dry-run Protection Brushless Submersible Water Pump, 410GPH, for Solar Fountain, Fish Pond, and Aquarium" and it works great! I've had this panel for over a year and it has performed well. Obviously direct and clear sunlight works best.
