Good starter kit if you want to get into solar on a budget!
Size: 100W KIT
Good set up for getting into solar. It is easy to setup. It is sturdy and functions well. You will probably not get 100 watts of output, I have gotten so far about 70 watts, will try to get more out of it as summer progresses. Rarely do you get the rated output on solar panels due to many atmospheric variables. Has decent cable length to get you started. Includes mounting brackets, cables, charge controller and solar panel with instructions. Keeps my DIY solar generator charged, can also charge my Blueetti AC2A with the XT60 to MC4 cable that came with my Blueetti. Has been durable so far, had the kit for a year and a half at this point as of July 2025. You can expand the kit by adding panels (theoretically could add up to 5 more panels, but check before adding don't just take my word for it, understand the system's limitations or you could have a dangerous situation.) You must understand electricity (watts, volts and amps and their relationship). Look up DIY Solar Power with Will Prowse - Electricity for Beginners on YouTube before you start. Will is a great resource and will keep you safe. Remember to always connect your battery to the solar controller before connecting the solar panel to the controller. It has to be done in the correct order to keep from burning up the solar controller, there again watch Will Prowse, he will show you the correct way and how to be safe. Have fun with solar, its cool! ... show more

Nice starter system
Size: 100W KIT
Nice starter system. I would say spring for the two panel kit though. But this kit works perfectly and is extremely easy to use. You’ll need something to mark the positive wire because both wires are black.

Panel is 100W at 20+ volts or whatever it says is max voltage.
Size: 100W KIT
Review Image by Thaddeus Garman
I upgraded to an MPPT charge controller and saw amazing results. If you use this with the included charge controller, I doubt you will see upwards of 70-75 Watts. I didn't understand how a PWM vs MPPT controller worked until I tried this out. I thought my panel was broken until I bought a victron 75/15 smart solar MPPT controller. Then I plugged my panel in at 5:30pm and was seeing 85 Watts. Anyways long story short, this is a great kit if you are just getting into solar. The charge controller could be better because you won't see 100W from the panel with it until you buy an MPPT charge controller. That's because it's PWM and not MPPT. The panel is great, the cables work well so far. It's a great deal. For $15 dollars more than the solar panel by itself, you can charge a battery and use the solar panel. The charge controller is a pain to setup with only one button but it works to start. You will need to upgrade this. With the old solar charge controller, I would only see 5.4 amps max on the best day usually 4.9-5.3. With the MPPT solar charge controller I have seen 6.6 amps and higher. The 20+ volts are converted to amps. ... show more

This was my first attempt at a small solar setup.. how did it go?
Size: 100W KIT
This was my first attempt at finally putting together a small solar setup.... how did it go? Surprisingly well, few months down the line it's still working with no maintenance or issues. I used older 12v SLA batteries I had laying around from assorted projects. Solar can be a little bit intimidating but starting with a small setup like this really allows you to get familiar with the entire setup. It's pretty simple, really.... Your solar panels take energy from the sun and store them into your batteries to use when you need it. This kit could run something small off of the sun alone.. but it's much better to pair it with a few batteries and a few more solar panels for the extra juice. I was able to run a small USB fan, 1000w power inverter that can power a 20" flatscreen TV and Nintendo switch + more. Just keep doing your research, this is a great little kit that can get you started and motivated to expand on solar, it's a fun project. ... show more

Just The Ticket for Small RVs
Size: 100W KIT
Powerful, efficient solar panel keeps our RV battery fully charged. Versatile design with holes in frame and mounting brackets made it easy to build an angled portable support. Approximately 10-foot long quality cables allow panel to be positioned in a sunny spot away from RV and at an angle to catch the best sun. This was my 4th portable solar panel set-up, and the solar controller included with panel is outstanding: weatherproof, secure easy-to-use connections (you will need a set of wire strippers, some connectors, and a crimping tool), and easy-to-navigate interface. ... show more

Very easy setup and pretty good package for the price
Size: 100W KIT
I bought this single-panel 100 watt kit for $80 when there was a $20 price reduction, and to be honest my expectations weren't that high. I only needed some power for lights in a storage shed so I thought almost anything could keep up with that. What I received was better than I expected, and with the included cables, brackets, and the charge controller there weren't a lot of extras that I needed to get. Although the product description indicated that it could charge lithium batteries it did not specifically state that it could use Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries, which I intended to use even though they take a higher charging voltage. With the stated output voltage of 13.6v (LiFePO4 batteries need 14.6v) I assumed that I would only get a partial charge but I didn't really care because of my limited power requirements. However when I set up the controller I noticed that it does have a LiFePO4 setup option, although I don't know how it can fully charge one if the voltage is only 13.6v, and I haven't had a chance yet to see what percentage of charge I can actually get. In any event, after testing out the panel, controller, and an 8Ah battery on my sunny deck I decided that this setup could drive more than just lights, so I am adding some vent fans to the shed as well. The fans are actually low current 12v muffin fans only intended to provide some air movement to avoid fume buildup and mildew. As an extra benefit I housed everything including my own LiFePO4 battery and a fan thermostat in an electrical box with a DPDT switch to allow me to select which one of two different batteries the panel will charge: either the internal LiFePO4 or over the winter months my lawn tractor battery (lead acid) which I will connect to the box via a set of DIY cables. I will need to remember to switch the battery type in the controller setup, but I should no longer need to pull the tractor battery to keep it charged over the winter. Any power needs over the winter including lights or ventilation will be supplied by the tractor battery. For the money I am really impressed with what is included for a beginner solar package. I would probably do a lot more research before I would dare to do an RV or rooftop installation, but for limited power usage in my storage shed it's a very inexpensive solution. ... show more

Works great on our golf cart
Size: 100W KIT
Very nice unit, Arrived safe and well packaged. Easy to install on our golf cart roof. We did need to buy a booster for our 48 volt system and it holds the cart at 51-54 Volts. (Using Lead Acid Batteries right now) Even charges well when there is cloud cover, or I have not cleaned the unit in a while. We would buy again if we needed it for other items.
