While I initially hoped for complete light-blocking in my bedroom, I found a silver lining by using these shades in my living space instead. The media could not be loaded. Please don’t look at cracks around my window, we just got countertops installed and still waiting on backsplash but needless to say we finishing remodel and needed new blinds because the k es we had before from ikea and pretty questionable quality especially after 8 years. I was excited for this and for a reason, it’s a true color match to our kitchen, and really let the light in while providing nice privacy from neighbors. My husband installed it in about 30 minutes, directions are easy but he also measured everything like 10 times to make sure it’s very straight from all angles. This shade offers a great balance between privacy and allowing natural light to filter through, making it an excellent choice for living room or kitchen. The installation process is a breeze. Even if I'm not particularly handy, I was able to get this shade up within 30 minutes. Once installed, the shade is very easy to operate. The cordless design means I can simply pull it up or down as needed, with no cords to fuss with. The fabric quality of the shade is also quite good. The light filtering feature is a real plus, as it allows me to enjoy natural light without sacrificing privacy. I was still able to see outside, which is a nice touch. One thing to keep in mind is that this shade does not block outside light completely. If you're looking for a blackout shade, this isn't it.
