  • Good Vice For Limited Uses
This is an inexpensive, decent, small, low-tech vice. The key is you need to choose the right mission. It isn't a good vice for anything that requires really tight grip (say…if you were trying to open a bottle of paint that had dried shut). But it's good for holding an item that you might take a photo of in a light box (like a flower). Or something small (an egg or a 1/32nd scale model airplane) that you're seeking to paint. Because of it's size and weight, it's very portable. You can clamp it to a wall with the suction vise (though I've found the suction vise to be unreliable). If you have a purpose/mission that fits within the limited job this vise can do, then you'll be extremely happy with it--a great combination of small size, low weight, low cost, and performance. If you're looking for an all-purpose vice that typically does what most vices do, you'll likely be dis-satisfied with this. The product is well made for what it's supposed to do. But if you try to hold something heavy or something that requires tight pressure, you'll going to be very unhappy. ... show more

  • Good for the price
Good little vise for the price. I use it for wooden model shipbuilding and it works for me. It’s tiny for sure, and the suction cup on the bottom of the vise doesn’t work on textured surfaces (you will need to mount this vise on a very smooth surface like plexiglass). The vise opens to 1” and is fine for small parts. ... show more

  • Good value
It's cute, fits in the palm of my hand. I find the suction to be good. I'm using it for wire wrap jewelry making and have to pull hard to have it unsuctuon. It's grip is nice and tight. Will buy again should I have the need.

  • The suction does NOT WORK!
I love these little clamps, they're the perfect size for what we need them for. But they will only hold a suction for a few seconds then they let go and are useless at staying in place! It's very sad because other than staying put, they're what we need! (But we also need to have them stay put!)

  • It Does Its Job
An overall decent product. It was little smaller than I expected, but it does its job well and is perfect for surfaces where you don't want to attach a real vise. When paired with a helping hand, it's useful for soldering small electronics parts and wires. The suction cup sticks to the table very strongly, but over time it leaks and becomes unstuck after several minutes. Here are some tips for using it: - use Vaseline to lubricate the screw, so the threads don't shred the plastic too much - moisten the bottom of the suction cup to help it stick for a longer time - attach something soft to the jaws, so you don't damage anything you're clamping in it ... show more

  • Definitely do not recommend trying to use a Dremel tool with this vice ...
It took a long while for me to make this purchase. I waned something that wasn't too bulky for my crafting table, instead of going to Home Depot and buying a huge metal vice I got this. It has trouble sticking to any surface and it's very flimsy. I hardly ever use it anymore it's more of a keepsake to me now. It's very cute and if you plan on using it for non strenuous shaving or carving it's ok. Definitely do not recommend trying to use a Dremel tool with this vice it moves around too much. Overall it's ok for the price. ... show more

  • Worked Amazing!
The suction was good but what I was doing i knew it wasn't going to hold the suction well. My husband had these little stainless steel disks he needed the hole to be bigger to put on his lights. I needed something to hold these disk still so I could use a dremel to enlarge the holes. The disks got very hot and when holding them with the pliers well needless to say I wasn't just grinding the holes bigger I was also grinding the pliers down. Lol! The little mini table clamps worked amazing. ... show more

  • WARNING: Much smaller than expected
I was quite alarmed when I first received this vice. The product description on Amazon states that it is 7 x 7 x 7 inches. That is not true. It is approx 3" x 2.5" with a height of 2.75", MUCH smaller than the description. It may still be adequate for my needs short term, but I expected something larger for long term demands, still the price is good and it adheres to a flat surface very well. ... show more
