Description

They are an International elite unit created by NATO to carry out missions where no other could hope to succeed. A mix of Seals, Delta Force, British SAS and French, German and Polish SpecOps operators. Led by a former Navy Seal, Lieutenant Abe Talley. This is Echo Six. Even before they finish training a crisis develops that requires their unique and bloody brand of soldiering. Hostages are about to die, facing execution at the hands of the scourge of the seas - pirates. The objective is inside Somalia. Al Qaeda has taken piracy under its control to fund their worldwide quest for terror and death in the name of Islam. Talley’s unit is hastily transferred to a nuclear carrier patrolling the Arabian Sea. Echo Six is to go ashore, kill the pirates and rescue the hostages. Exfiltration will be via the advanced, super-silent Black Hawks of the secretive 160th Aviation Regiment. Yet plans can and often do go wrong. And this time is no exception. Fighting with an ill-prepared yet expert squad of operatives, Talley has to control the bitter rivalry of his own men as they close with the enemy. An enemy who is well equipped and well prepared for the coming attack. Behind him, his own commanders are riven by political infighting and personal agendas that threaten to tear his unit apart almost before it has got off the ground. And the mission rapidly expands to take in new and larger, more dangerous objectives. Echo Six:Black Ops is an exciting and bloodthirsty story of the fierce, no-quarters fighting of a NATO SpecOps unit. Read more

  • GREAT SERIES!
Ok - first of all in my humble opinion, its an action book that's fast paced, exciting to read, and well written for what it is. There are several missed edits (not the authors fault) but all in all I have enjoyed the series. If you are reading this book based on facts and accurate accounts of blah blah balh please just buy a military history book. If you are into well scripted fast pace military books this series is worth it. Keep writing Eric and don't let the critics get you miffed. You're on to something and keep it up. ... show more

  • Good book!!!
I believe this was my first Eric Meyer book, really enjoyed it and plan to read more. A little short, I usually like books with a few more pages. I really like these kinds of books, hard to put down, action all the way through.

  • Echo Six Black Ops Review
I just finished this book and also the subsequent book (Echo Six Black Ops 2). While the story lines were exciting and filled with action, I was totally annoyed by the countless grammatical and spelling errors. I'm not talking about a few, I mean a few hundred. As I made my way through the first book (Echo Six Black Ops) I just ignored these errors. But as I got fully into the second book it became very distracting to me. In this day and age of the high tech computers, there is absolutely no excuse for it. Shame on Mr. Meyer for allowing it and ditto to his publisher as well. It's just laziness and I have little tolerance for that. In summary, yes the story lines were pretty good although a little "skinny" at times but not too bad. If you can overlook the errors then I'd say go for it. Me on the other hand, I will not be reading any more of Eric Meyers' books. ... show more

  • Six by Six
I gave it a 5 star rating based on the non-stop action, which was well thought out an fell into a realistic story of what could actually be happening at this time. I highly recommend anything Eric Meyer has put his pen on.

  • Action Thriller
An elite International military force is formed to handle problems not restricted by borders. Operating in location s like Somalia,Yemen etc they rescue hostages from pirates and take terrorist war lords and their forces out. Their missions are hampered by rogue UN personnel who are feeding mission plans to the terrorist. A little bit of romance thrown in and you have a rollicking adventure. A great read ... show more
