I love these shoes. Super comfortable. They are also the first gortex/waterproof shoes that look great (the blue ones, at least.) I can get away with wearing them with slacks and not look like I'm going out for a hike. But... they smell. This is the 10th pair of goretex shoes / boots i've owned. I've never had a pair of shoes smell. Same with my sneakers or any other shoe I've owned. I even tried powder, washed them, soaked them and sent them to a witch doctor, but nothing has worked. I had to put these outside; even the animals wouldn't eat them. But, it looks like I'm the only reviewer who had this experience!

Very comfortable, well padded shoe. I have to lace very tightly in order to get my heels to lock, particularly on the left shoe, but the tongue has enough padding that this doesn't cause any pain. Width of the shoes is great. If anything, they're wide in comparison to other Ecco styles. The sole looks awesome and feels great under foot. I got the Navy Upper/white sole combo and was pleasantly surprised that it's more of an off-white. Slightly coffee-tinted. Anyway, it looks better to me than glaring bright white would have, and shows less dirt. The Polyurethane looks like it will last a good long time, and there's plenty of sole there to wear down. This is refreshing compared against so many shoes that offer tiny, wafer thin patches of rubber in lieu of a sole, guaranteed to wear down while the upper looks new. I've put the Goretex to the test a few times, most in dewy fields, but one time holding the toe of one shoe over a lawn sprinkler. No leaks, works as advertised. The Bad: I do have one major but easy to fix complaint. The shoelaces are too slick to hold a knot, too smooth in fact to hold in place to tie a firm loop. They just don't stay tied, and manage to slip even when double-knotted. Adding a tongue pad helps lock my heel in place without having to lace so tightly, and a heel pad keeps it from sliding. I do encounter heel slippage with a lot of Ecco designs. More curvature at the back of the shoe, aligning with shape of the foot going in to the ankle would do wonders.

These are perfect sneakers for the rainy PNW winter. Stylish and performant. Waterproofing is not perfect like rubber boots but it works reasonably well. I am totally happy about the purchase.

Super Comfortable and Good Looking Gore Tex shoe but delicate uppers. If you treat it like a hiking boot or a work shoe it will not last very long.

These shoes are sturdy and comfortable. I bought my first pair and loved them so much that I bought the same in a different color. I've been alternating wearing them every other day and they are holding up well. Even though they have a lot of life left on them, I bought two additional pairs for when they finally wear out. Yes, they are that good! I'm a big believer in their golf shoes as well.

I work as a caddy, my main problem was water. These shoes are completely water proof. Glad I bought, they felt alittle bit bigger than what I expected but not an issue. Comfortable to walk miles on miles while carrying heavy bags. Worth the prices
