  • Perfect Mini UPS for Network Gear & A Solid Light Camping Companion
This is a compact little unit that fits a very specific niche perfectly. For camping or emergency use, it handles the basics well—think phones, tablets, hotspots, or a low-power laptop. It’s ideal for when you are in the woods but not fully "escaping" the tech life. The included 40W solar panel is decent; it folds down incredibly small for packing, though be aware that when unfolded, it takes up about as much surface area as a standard 100W panel. However, while it serves well for light travel, I found its best use is actually at home as a dedicated UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply). I use this specifically to back up my wireless home internet connection. If the power goes out—or even if a storm takes down the pole containing my fiber line—this unit keeps my backup internet modem running instantly without a reboot until my whole-home generator kicks in. The standout feature here is the LiFePO4 battery chemistry. Traditional computer UPS units use lead-acid batteries that tend to die in 2-4 years even without heavy use. This LiFePO4 unit handles significantly more cycles and offers a much longer lifespan, making it a far better long-term investment for keeping critical network gear online than a standard APC or CyberPower brick. Pros: LiFePO4 Chemistry: Lasts years longer than lead-acid UPS units. Perfect UPS: Seamlessly keeps modems/routers running during power blips. Portability: Panel folds down very small; unit is lightweight. Cons: Panel Footprint: The 40W panel has a large footprint when unfolded relative to its wattage. Limited Capacity: At ~238Wh, this is strictly for small electronics, not heavy home appliances. ... show more

  • Versatile portable power station!
The EBL 300W Portable Power Station with 40W Foldable Solar Panel is quite a versatile portable power station. The item arrived with the portable power station, 40 W foldable solar panel, AC charging cord, cigarette lighter cord, MC4 to Anderson solar cable, and an instruction manual. I'm impressed with all the features of the power station - it can be charged with AC power, a car cigarette lighter, or with a solar panel. It also has one AC output, two USB-A outputs, and two USB-C outputs and an integrated light. Plus, it is shipped with a portable 40W foldable solar panel! The power station is 8" wide by 5 1/2" deep by 6 1"2" tall and weighs nearly 8 lbs. The device is well designed, intuitive and easy to operate. The power station was 61% charged out of the box. I brought the unit outside on a full sunny day and attached the 40W foldable solar panel. After four hours, the power station was 69% charged. The next day, brought the power station outside on a second fully sunny day and charged it with our Grape Solar 100 W panel (max 6 amps) and charged the power station to 100%. I then discharged the power station with a 6, 100W bulb lamp in a short time (2 hours) down to 5% and then charged the power station back up to 100% in 2 hours with the AC cable. This is a nice and versatile power station. I can see bringing this to camp and using it, or powering up our wifi router during power outages. ... show more

  • Quick charging solar even with light clouds
I am very impressed with the quality of this power station and solar panels. The power station is pretty standard with all of the ports that you would expect, all of the charging cords needed to charge it with the included solar panels, charge it from your wall outlet, or car cigarette lighter. It has a built in handle for carrying or for securing it to your pack. It is a solid build, not cheapy made, but very nice quality. The display is a bit difficult to read in the sunlight, so it is tough to tell the charge percentage while in the direct sun, but once you are in your car or tent, the display is backlit and large enough to read easily. It has a flashlight / spotlight function on the side that is pretty bright, so you can set it in the back of your tailgate while you unload or use the power station light to find your gear in the back of the trailer after dark. I am most impressed with the solar panels. They fold up into a compact space and have a strong strap and clip. The solar panels seem to charge really quickly. It is pretty overcast most days where I travel and the solar panels are able to charge about 10% per hour, even in light clouds. I like the compact size while still providing a great supply of power to recharge all of our outdoor gadgets. ... show more

  • Better than expected solar output in poor sunlight, great small power setup for events
This is a 300W portable power station kit with a 40W foldable panel and a nice spread of outputs. One AC outlet, USB A, two USB C including a 60W port, plus DC and a built in light. First impression is good. It feels well built and the cable selection is actually useful. AC charger, car charger, and the solar lead are all in the box so you are not hunting for adapters. I tested the panel parked on top of a snowbank in limited Michigan January sun and it still topped out around 18W of power coming in. That is pretty impressive given the angle and the season. In normal conditions I can see it doing a decent job keeping the battery from dropping during light use. The screen makes it easy to see what is coming in and what you are pulling out, which helps a lot when you are trying to budget power. The use case for me is craft fairs. My wife runs a booth and this is just the right size to toss in a tote. It should run a credit card machine and keep phones topped off all day without any stress. Functionality is solid, quality feels dependable, and the value is good if you want a small power station that is easy to charge multiple ways and has a solar panel that actually contributes. ... show more
