The back and side panels hang down far enough therefore preventing them from slipping down like my other covers would do; even without using the rubber bands. I like the cover, and it is water resistant and the material is comfortable (not scratchy). My toddler constantly takes his leaky sippy cups to the couch (he thinks he’s the boss). I just pull the cover off and throw it in the washer. It comes out good as new. I just wish there was a better way to keep it from sliding all over the place and eventually slides off the couch. The wedge pieces don’t stay in at all. In fact, my dog kept stealing them and ended up chewing them all up. I found the best way to prolong the cover from slipping off everyday, was to tuck the portions that go over the arm rest, under the seat cushion. It definitely helps delay the inevitable. I do have 3 kids and none of them just stand up or just sit down. Instead they throw themselves down or plop down and they slide off before standing. Maybe I’ll have better luck when they are grown, and I won’t need couch covers anymore. With that all being said, I don’t regret this purchase because it does serve a purpose and has done a great job protecting my couch from any stains. The stains would be noticeable because I was an idiot and purchased a super light grey, nearly white couch with 3 kids and a puppy and it is still in amazing condition. Almost doesn’t even look like I have kids.

As you can see in the first two images, the strap is linked to a single corner, so it just hangs loosely over the top of the couch. In the third image you'll see a cover for a L-shaped couch sold by the same company. This one has an actual strap that goes around the header and feels secure. The only reason I'm giving this a 3-Star instead of 1 is because we connected both corner straps with some string and tied it up ourselves which makes it secure enough, but it'll still slide off after you lean on it.

This one from EasyGoing is hands down the best. —arrives in small hard box, neatly folded, but no wrinkles. —beautiful stitched finishing, no threads or weird irregularities of seams —Largest coverage of any I’ve bought —Fits Oversized recliners . Mine is a Golden electric recliner, very wide.Hard to find wider covers. —Reversible! This sage green reverses to khaki. —Superior fabric quality. —Attaches with back fabric-covered elastic which is sewn on (unlike some that attach with a metal buckle and are easy to misplace) —Handy pockets on arms for small items like TV remote, personal items ( others don’t have this) —Longer lower area covers footrest —Machine washes beautifully, comes out of dryer looking like new. Stains come out easily. No pilling or bunching like others —Huge size for the reasonable price. After many washings and heavy use, it looks just like this photo. Don’t hesitate. I’ll never buy another brand!
