  • It doesn’t have ac for tig aluminum welding but great machine and quick setup makes it really nice
Size: 250 Amp MP250i
Only thing is aluminum tig welding this will not do but great machine. Love it and no bottle switching and can switch everything with a touch of a button. You can use a aluminum spool gun but not the same

  • Mig,Tig,or stick welder
Size: 250 Amp MP250i
This is an excellent welder for the money. I'd put it right up there with a Lincoln, Hobart,or Miller. Does an excellent job for its class of welding machines.

Excellent Welder, I like this welder more than my Miller 225. Easier control settings and more accurate.

  • Not recommended for anyone who needs precise process control.
Size: 250 Amp MP250i
The MP250i Elite suffers from fundamental design issues that make it extremely difficult to dial in a stable, repeatable weld. MIG: The wire feed system has almost no usable resolution. The feed rate jumps between “too slow to maintain an arc” and “so fast it constantly outruns the puddle.” Even small adjustments on the dial translate into large, inconsistent changes, making it nearly impossible to find a proper balance between voltage and WFS. This is basic functionality a machine at this price point should get right, and it doesn’t. TIG: TIG mode is even more problematic. There is effectively no granular control over amperage or arc intensity. The arc initiates far too hot, even at the low end of the settings, resulting in immediate burn-through or surface evaporation on thinner materials. Without proper amperage control, slope settings, or a stable low-amp range, TIG welding is essentially unusable on anything other than thick plate. Controls & Interface: The interface feels like outdated 1980s technology—coarse, poorly calibrated, and lacking the fine controls found on even mid-range modern inverters. There’s no digital feedback that reflects real-time output, and adjustments don’t correlate predictably with actual welding behavior. In short, this machine fails at the fundamentals. For a multi-process welder marketed at this level, the performance is far below what most welders would reasonably expect. Save your money and choose a platform with reliable, precise control. Probably great for stick welding - but not what I bought it for. ... show more

  • Great machine
Size: 250 Amp MP250i
I want to give a huge thank you to my friend for loaning me his welder to help me fix the hitch on my F350. The setup was incredibly easy, and I was really impressed with how the machine performed. Even with prolonged use, it never cut out, and the power settings were spot on. I used 7018 rods, and the welder delivered great penetration, making the job smooth and efficient. While I don't own a welder myself, after using this one, I would absolutely buy it if I had the chance. It's a fantastic product, and I’m really grateful to have had the opportunity to use it! ... show more
