I was a little nervous buying this horn for around $200 only. I knew it might not sound good or be difficult for my new student to play. I was amazed at the quality, the sound and ease of playing. Upper and lower range were good and the valves are amazing, better than my $3k pro trumpet. It came oiled and lubed lightly but I would recommend oiling the valves and adding a little slide grease before using the valves or slides as some users have reported sticking immediately. Superb value and the black nickel with engraving is so rarely seen these days. Update: After having played it a few times now, I can say it slots well, and is working fine for my new beginning trumpet student. Also the sound is a bit on the brighter side. Recently we had one of the valves stick and upon further examination a small metal fleck was stuck in the 2nd valve. Very strange but after we removed it the quick action was restored in the valves.

Works great. Sounds good. Only problem I have is one valve will not lock into place after oiling. It doesn’t ruin the functionality but is super annoying and make oiling take a lot longer because you have to get the placement of that valve just right or it won’t allow air to pass through

Its a trumpet it works as advertised and the valves never get stuck has good sound worth the money buy this if this doesn’t convince you your missing out

Bought this as a gift for my son. I don't know jack about it but.bit.. it looks and feels great. One lifter was stuck but easy fix. Perfect for beginner and practice. I can't rate sound.. I don't play

Got this trumpet for my son. Lasted about a year and a half before it started losing the black paint off it in the areas held the most. Same for the case. Have decent quality sound for student also. Wish the color would of lasted longer tho it makes it look really old now. When it's not. Would not buy the black one again. Update December 2023: well the part that holds the liar had broken. I do not recommend buying this trumpet for longevity or playing daily. I expected this would last a lot longer than it did.
