It won't hold my soprano saxophone completely upright. It leans just enough to be annoying. It hasn't fallen over yet but it barely does the job. The felted cone is also flimsy. It's like it was an afterthought that doesn't really work that well.

I’ve had sopranos damaged from getting tipped over on a flimsy stand, so I’ve been looking for a while for a travel stand that I felt I could trust. I got just that. It folds up very compactly in its own carrying pouch, but when unfolded it’s very sturdy.

Item Shape: Soprano Saxophone 5-Leg Stand
These stands have been around for a very long time. I wanted to try this out on my soprano sax. The stand I received sits almost level on the floor unlike how the product pic depicts how it should sit with legs at a nice angle. Even so, I don't feel like it would tip over easily. What I dislike mostly about this stand is that my bell gets stuck on it and that is the worst thing for me while on a gig. It may loosen up after a few months of use but I still hate it and I don't have that kind of time. When I'm on a gig and I need to switch from tenor to alto or soprano I need to be able to pick my horn up a blow. I can't be fighting with a particular stand. The cone has some kind of rubber patch or protective material applied to it in three places in order to protect the finish of your horn. That is a good thing as is the fit for the soprano. But again, my horn gets stuck on the cone and there is no amount of twisting or shaking that will get it to release. Thus, it makes it a little bit undesirable for me. I may be able to cover those patches with something that allows for a quick release or just use it only at home. I think it's a decent stand and safe from easy tipping. However, on a gig, I don't think I want to use it unless I can find a material to cover the padding on the cone that allows for a quick release but still won't harm my finish.

Item Shape: Soprano Saxophone Stand
Eastrock has been surprising me with the value they are giving with some of their products. This stand, which I bought for my piccolo trumpet, is one of those products, I am so pleased with how well this stand supports my horn. I had to add a couple spacers to the peg because the bell was hitting the push-button clips for the legs, again, I bought this for an instrument it doesn't list, so I trust it works with the others. It's super sturdy, and feels beefy without being heavy. It also looks like it's worth way more than it costs. The only small problem I have is that it doesn't fold down anymore, and won't fit in most cases for the small instruments it's made for.
