This pocket trumpet is fantastic! I’ve been playing trumpet most of my life. I needed something smaller to carry in a shoulder bag for a jazz tour that I’m doing in Louis Armstrong Park in New Orleans. My regular horn is a Bach Stradivarius that I paid $3000 for so I was a little apprehensive to buy a horn for $150. But I figured it wasn’t that big an investment if it didn’t work out and I could always return it. From the time I held the box and felt its significant weight, I knew I was getting more than I expected. It sounds fantastic! Dare I say, almost as good as my Bach Stradivarius. It’s cute and easy to hold, it’s got a nice finish (I got the brass) and it has a clear, crisp tone. I don’t think any of the slides pull out for tuning, but I’ll be playing by myself so no need to tune to other instruments. Valves are smooth, even before I put in some valve oil. It comes with a cute little case. There’s a 7C mouthpiece without a brand name, but I’ll be using my trumpet mouthpiece. Overall a great investment for the price. I can’t wait to take it out and play it under the Satchmo statue!

I'm a horn player and use this with a mouthpiece adapter. I've had several professional trumpet players poke around with this and are impressed with the quality. This isn't a $2K+ pro horn, but not meant to be, they all seemed to agree that sound is decent even in the lower register. For me, primary use able to put air through a horn in a variety of situations with a very small transportable package, this has been perfect.

This is a great little trumpet. Super fun to play. Only reason it's not a 5 star is that it looks like some of the coating was scratched. Also number 3 valve, on mine, catches when removed but sits back in just fine. It has a great sound and holds its tune well. I would suggest making sure you get a trumpet care kit and watch some videos on how to care for your instrument if needed. Everything works much better after you clean the factory gunk off. All in all I would definitely buy this trumpet again.

Would have given it a 5 if not for the fact 1st valve sticks had 2 had to send one back bad 3ed valve and the slide didn't work
