    • Great mini-sized tabletop air hockey!
I am pretty impressed with the overall qualit of this air hockey board, especially considering its modest ~$25 price tag. It obviously doesn't compare with the full-fledged version, but its portable nature and ease of playing makes this a very nice addition to our household, especially for our 4-year-old son. The product requires 3x AA batteries (not included), but once that is placed, it is basically ready to go. My son and I played with it on the living room coffee table, and we probably were at it for a good 30 minutes during that initial playtime. The puck moves pretty smoothly (at least with fresh batteries, the amount of air seems perfect), simulating the feel of air hockey well enough. The pushers are obviously smaller in size, but that actually worked out well for our son; it was also playable enough for me without it being too uncomfortable. I also loved the fact that it even has a storage on one of its sides for the two pushers, making it easy to store away. The two biggest negatives for me are (but, given the modest price, I didn't take off any stars for this): 1. The surface does scratch up pretty easily. It doesn't look like it has impacted the puck moving around on it though, so it seems to be more cosmetic than functional. 2. The score keeping system, which is automatic, is a bit too sensitive. There are instances in which the puck hasn't gone goal entirely and the score goes up; it then double counts when we just push it through counting it as a goal. I would also say that the goal is a little too wide given the overall size of the puck and pusher, relatively compared to the full size version, but that again is a pretty minor complaint. In some ways, it makes it easier to score, so it makes for a quicker and more exciting game. Overall, I would recommend this product, especially considering its current price tag. ... show more

    • Awesome way to play air hockey without all the damage (oh, that's me)!
I am a very (overly?) enthusiastic player of full-size air hockey and games usually end up with pucks flying off the table and people ducking and afraid for their glasswork (not to mention paint, drywall, etc.). I saw this table-top game and couldn't resist it. It really works as it should and is a ton of fun! The air feature works flawlessly and the pucks glide just as on a full-size table. The handles are heavy and solid enough to play, but fit the table well. I have not had an issue with scoring - it reports properly and the red LED numbers are easy to read. The only issue I have had (and it's no big deal to me at all) is that the pucks seem to fall bottom-out in the right-hand goal instead of with the top tipped out to make them easier to remove. When I try to remove them, they often fall out the bottom, under the table. Not scoring down for that as I don't think it's anything wrong with the manufacture or design. This thing is very fun and addicting - I just wish it plugged in so I don't have to recharge batteries. But I can take it anywhere, even without power, so that's a plus. The other big plus is no one has to worry about their glassware if I challenge them to a game. ;) I highly recommend if you are a fan of air hockey or want to try something fun and new! ... show more

While the glide action isn't as smooth as a standard air-hockey table, it's still a fun time! The felt or fabric on the bottom of the pushers doesn't feel as nice to move across the surface of the table, so not sure if that's just the table itself or the pushers, but for the price it's a fun game! It fits nicely on the coffee table which has seen it's share of heated games since getting it! ... show more

    • Table top AIR HOCKEY! without losing your teeth!
Item description: table top air hockey game PROS: well packaged; quality craftsmanship... it is like the real thing.. only smaller & will fit on a table or kitchen counter. It runs off of 3 AA batteries. And that's it! You'll be playing as soon as you pull it out of the box & add the batteries. If you can score this game for $20-25 for a gift... go for it.. your recipient will not be disappointed. It is a lot of fun. As a side note.. the only downside I found (which isn't really a downside) is the on/off button does not have any protection when inside the box it comes in... so we just left it out of the box so we don't accidentally turn it on & run the batteries down. I'm not sure if there is an auto off feature?.. but for the price.. it is not a deal breaker. CONS: none Suggestions to manufacturer: none Would I get it again? yes. or as a gift! Paid for by?
