My preschooler can have some trouble returning pencils into the original box. I don’t want to get a big pencil box, and the smaller ones are too small or have all sorts of unnecessary sections for 24 colored pencils. I’d also rather have them standing up in a cup for her to easily search for colors, but cup holders don’t have covers and would be harder for her to consolidate the pencils to close with the cover. This is functionally perfect for my preschooler’s needs! It’s also really sturdy quality, so it should last her for years, if she cares for it. The fabric the pouch is made of feels like canvas. Canvas is a very strong fabric, so the pouch should last awhile. I don't have much in the pouch, so it does have a hard time standing. But I love the fact that the top half pushes over the bottom half. That makes it so much easier to see and take out what you need. There are even pockets inside, that help organize your pencils, pens, etc. My only complaint is that it is a very tight fit (height wise) for new colored and regular pencils. In my pictures I compare this telescopic pencil pouch to another similar one (also ANGOOBABY brand). I noticed they sell these same ANGOOBABY pencil cases in multiple different styles and colors in different prices (2-3x differences) here on Amazon (and Temu), so I recommend comparing prices before buying. I really love the concept of these telescopic pencil cases because you can keep your pens in an upward position while writing/drawing/etc. and also store them in small space. I instatly fell in love with the look and functionality of these. They remind me of takeaway coffee cups. The green corduroy one isn’t as well made as this black/white/plaid (cotton) one. You can see in the pictures that you can see under the white cover of the green case super easily whereas in the plaid case the visibility doesn’t happen at all no matter how hard you try to pull it. Another difference was the inside. The plaid one is made ”sleeker” whereas the green one’s inside is puffier and not as nice-looking. They both have the three little pockets inside. I would say the only things I prefer in the green one is the corduroy material and the bigger handles on the sides (makes it easier to pull the top part down). I calculated that the corduroy one holds 29 pens + the pockets filled with small things like erasers, and the cotton one 33 pens + extras. I probably could’ve fit the corduroy case with even more pens but it seemed really tight already at the moment. Out of these two I would choose the cotton/plaid one because of its better quality. I wish they made some small adjustments to the corduroy ones and had a brown/beige color in their selection as well. Note: The review was written by my gf. ... show more
