  • Good piano, bad speakers
Size: EP-10 with Pedal
Tl; dr. Piano is great if you have your own speakers/headphones. This piano is awesome. The keys feel good, and it's got a lot of great features. I bought this piano for a family reunion this summer, and it's worked beautifully. The only issue I have is that the speakers are garbage. This piano is great if you, like me, have a better and bigger speaker to plug this into. There's my two bits. ... show more

  • Great to practice on while traveling
Size: EP-10 with Pedal
This works pretty well if you don’t want to miss practicing for a week while traveling. It fits in the overhead section on most planes, did not fit in my carry-on suitcase. It can probably fit in a checked suitcase, but is a bit delicate, and I don’t plan on ever checking it unless I have it wrapped in bubble wrap. It’s well made but you can’t just throw it around and expect the keys to not get damaged either. The keys are the same width as a standard piano, but I measured it and they are just slightly shorter in length. The on button is easily turned on while in the carrying case, and at the airport, started playing in demo mode till I was able to shut it off. Would suggest putting earbuds into the jack, so that if it does turn on, it won’t be audible to everyone else. This works well for practicing with headphones/earbuds. Using them, I think the sound is all right / decent. Without earbuds, the sound quality is absolutely terrible, and that’s coming from me a beginner pianist. Like this is really only for practicing while you travel— there is no way a real musician could ever use this for performance, because the sound output is so bad even I noticed. ... show more

  • Great for dorm room
Size: EP-10 with Pedal
My daughter was in Weather school for the marines and space was tight in the dorm. This folds up nice, seemed to be well enough built to last even if it has to be put away after every use. My daughter who grew up playing on our baby grand liked the action and said the sound was OK for what she needed then. She hasn't used it or needed it for piping through to other speakers or interfaced with a computer etc. We can't give any indication of how well or even if it works that way. It does work on electric and/or batteries. I was in charge of packing it for her assignment to Japan and couldn't figure out how to take the batteries out. So I concluded that they are built in lithium. However, TMO packed it and sent it, so my conclusion may be wrong and I just couldn't find the battery access panel. ... show more

  • A good first try at a folding keyboard
Size: EP-10 with Pedal
This keyboard when folded, fits in my largest suitcase. It has a rechargeable battery so it can be played without power. It has a headphone jack. These features meet all our top needs: I can travel with it, my kids can play keyboard wherever we go. My favorite is while I am driving in the van. There are some obvious engineering improvements I anticipate in the next step of or from this keyboard: 1) It does not clasp into the fully folded position, so when fully folded one has to keep it fully folded to prevent flopping. Alternatively one could keep it in the case. 2) There is no handle to carry the folded keyboard. The case does have a handle. 3) Volume settings return to default every time the keyboard powers off (every ten minutes when idle). The default volume is too loud for me. I have gone to leaving headphones plugged in and laying near the keyboard as speakers. Then I can just turn on and play and the volume in the room is about right. 4) the case is great for carrying the keyboard and charging chord. It does not accept the music stand, which would have to be accommodated separately. 5) the lip on the music stand needs to be thicker. My music frequently slides over and off the music stand. This keyboard met my basic needs: I can practice while living in a hotel room. That’s a great thing! ... show more

  • Portable, easy, great for beginners.
Size: EP-10 with Pedal
I removed one starbecause when I first ordered this keyboard, a section of the keys did not work. I was able to return it without a hassle(first time returning anything and it was easy). The replacement they sent me works great! I use this keyboard to test out melodies for vocals as I write songs. I am no music snob and don't need anything fancy. This is not a keyboard for professionals to play at gigs, but I love it and it is exactly what I need. I love that it is a full keyboard, can fold in half to store away, and when you open it up for use it locks into place(with a release lever to unlock it). It is sturdy, but light. It comes with a music stand, which is helpful. It is cordless with a chargeable battery. It has an alright carrying case. I love that I can take it anywhere and quickly whip it out and not have the hassle of additional setup. ... show more

  • The piano feels more like an expensive toy
Size: EP-10 with Pedal
I am an intermediate piano player and bought this to spend a week at a lake with family. The piano overall feels more like a fancy toy than an actual piano. The keys itself, for the price, are actually okay. They don't feel as nice as premium digi-pianos, but for this price range they are okay and hold up. The overall frame seems sturdy (with some weak points in the design) My biggest complaint is the sound quality. The sounds seem very compressed and lack quality. If they worked on the sound, I think this would be a much better option for anyone wanting to dabble at the keyboard. However, as is some of the notes don't seem all the way tuned and playing often was frustrating with this quality. If you are looking for something to play around with with extreme portability, this is a great option. However, overall I don't think this holds up as a long-term instrument. ... show more

  • Perfect if you don't have a lot of space!
Size: EP-10 with Pedal
I am learning to play piano and didn't need anything fancy, just something compact. I love that this folds up and have been able to take it on road trips. The battery holds for a long time (I think I've only had to charge it once since the first time) and I've had it for about six months now, playing at least a few times a week. I looked into several different options and even though I usually don't purchase a product unless it has reviews, I decided to take a chance on this one because it could be folded up. I'm really glad I did! The sound is good and it has a few simple features (included pre-recorded playlist, tempo, and I think even a record button). I just use it for practicing so haven't explored its other features too much. ... show more
