I have been using the Milk Hydro Grip Primer for years and recently picked up another one when I saw an Amazon Prime Black Friday deal that was slightly cheaper than Sephora’s sale. This primer contains hyaluronic acid, which makes it very hydrating and comfortable on the skin. I have sensitive skin and have never experienced irritation or breakouts from this product. One thing worth noting is that the primer feels quite tacky when first applied. While this may not be everyone’s preference, I actually appreciate it because my foundation adheres extremely well and lasts longer throughout the day. Once powder is applied, the sticky feeling completely goes away, so it is not an ongoing issue. This primer is on the pricier side, but for me it is worth it since it consistently performs well and works with my sensitive skin. A small amount goes a long way, which helps justify the cost. Great primer, has the typical sticky and grippy feel.

I'm a fan of the FLOWERKNOWS Little Angel Dewy Hydrating primer. This was recommended as a dupe for it. I don't think it's the same to be honest, but this is still a good primer. It makes my makeup application very smooth and look better. The size is BIG though, you will be using this for a long time and it's not very travel friendly FYI. I'm still on the hunt for a good dupe of my fave primer but I may just break down and purchase it specifically at this point lol. ... show more

Good primer, very grippy, but made drier areas more noticeable

I just started using the Milk hydrogrip primer. I like that it has niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and is silicone free. I have fairly sensitive skin, and this went on smoothly, it absorbed really quickly, felt nice going on, and caused no irritation. I didnt have the tacky feel that some other reviewers have experienced, maybe my skin was more dry when I put it on. I used it with NARS light reflecting primer, and it went on pretty smoothly over the primer. It def held my makeup all day and I saw a difference. I'm not sure that it truly helped hydrate as much as I hoped it would - I noticed in the afternoon the makeup around my mouth and nose was a little more flaky and dry. I suspect that has more to do with my moisture barrier and the hydration of my skin than the fault of this primer - I think it might have just made it more noticeable. The product is fairly pricy, but a little goes a long way. It works well, but I don't think it added a lot more hydration that I was hoping for. ... show more

This works well, but it dries very quickly as you apply it and does not leave your skin feeling soft. Applying makeup is not smooth like other products; I would not buy again. Its ok.
