I bought this mattress pad/pillow topper as part of my "build the perfect mattress" project, and I think I've created exactly what my body needs for really good sleep. I like these sort of pillow top mattress covers, and this one is very good quality. It arrived vacuum sealed, and once opened and draped over the sectional for several hours, it poofed up very nicely. My mattress project includes a Zinus 12" memory foam mattress, a Lucid 2" gel 5 zone memory foam topper (arriving soon), this pillow top cover and a 100% cotton Sleep Philosophy (stuffing is cotton as well as the cover material) mattress pad as the final application. This all sits atop a platform bed - king size. The all cotton topper will save me from having to wash this pillow topper as often (layers, people, layers). I've had poofy toppers in the past and they did get a little lumpy after a wash. While awaiting the arrival of the gel zone topper, I put this cover on and it's made a big improvement in comfort already. I've had the Zinus mattress for 6 years now, and it still looks and feels like new (rotate it every 3 months) but every once in a while I'd wake up with a sore spot on my hip - the mattress is pretty firm - and I'm getting old (-; I decided to try one of the heavily advertised hybrid jobbies (memory foam on top with individually wrapped coils underneath) that has a 365 day trial period and limited lifetime guarantee, but that didn't work for me. It was wonderfully comfy for lounging around on to watch TV, but sleeping on it gave me aches and pains in places I've never had aches and pains before. After 3.5 weeks of progressively more intense aches and pains, I reverted back to the Zinus, with this new pillow top cover, and I believe it's going to be the perfect mattress combo when the gel topper arrives and my 'project' is complete! I realize this is way more info than anyone needs for a review, but I figured while I was here, sharing a little extra info might help someone else who may be having some issues with their mattress comfort and looking for a solution (-: If this pillow topper gets too lumpy after washing or goes flat too quickly, I'll provide an update. ... show more

I was lost in a never-ending nightmare of shredded, lumpy, ill-fitting mattress pads. They kept me awake at night, tossing and turning, tugging on their corners as they rolled and popped up over the edges of my bed.
