It definitely worked well and grabs a lot of leafs. It made getting them bagged a lot easier. The handles did keep slipping which was annoying. Ar some point the black knob came off so it came apart. I thought it worked pretty good except for not staying in position & the knob coming off. I'm 66, 5'3 and 3 back surgeries so my upper body strength isn't the best. It was a little heavy for me after a while and my back was hurting because of that. Wish it was aluminum and not as heavy. Fix the handle issue, which lots of people mentioned and make it lighter and I would give it 5! ... show more

I'm a gadget guy, so I had to try this product. Having a back injury, it's difficult to bend over or kneel to pick up yard debris.......but no need to now with this thing! It's designed to open and close like a pair of scissors and has handles that can be adjusted to your height and comfort. I raked out my garden beds with aged mulch, leaves and shrubbery clippings. I then easily scooped up all the debris and put it into a wheelbarrow. The paddles that scoop the clippings are designed like a rake that interconnect to allow you to pick up debris as small as a pebble. After cleaning up the debris, three sweeps with a rake and the remaining dirt is mixed into the grass. It is even sturdy enough to pick up clumps of sod that the snow plow dug up. It works best when picking up debris from the grass as opposed to the sidewalk, so i just rake everything onto the lawn now. No more getting stuck with thorns from rose bush clippings or the sharp needles from pines and junipers. Great product! ... show more

I've been having to do all the yard work myself this spring since my husband is disabled now. I'm 65 and bending over to try to pick up leaves and the zillion acorns that had fallen this past fall, was becoming more than my back can deal with. So on the search for something to help make it easier, I found this. It has really made a big difference on how much I can do now....without the extensive back pain. I read where some had a problem with the handles not staying in a fixed position but I haven't encountered that. I hate raking leaves, so I was so excited to find a tool that would make my life easier. This tool was packed well and is easy to put together. You can tell its sturdy and well made. The only problem is that it is too heavy. no matter how I adjusted the handles; short or tall, or how I held it, it seemed more work for me. I am so sorry to have to send it back.
