    • So easy to pick up yard debris without straining my back!
Style: Gator Grabber
I'm a gadget guy, so I had to try this product. Having a back injury, it's difficult to bend over or kneel to pick up yard debris.......but no need to now with this thing! It's designed to open and close like a pair of scissors and has handles that can be adjusted to your height and comfort. I raked out my garden beds with aged mulch, leaves and shrubbery clippings. I then easily scooped up all the debris and put it into a wheelbarrow. The paddles that scoop the clippings are designed like a rake that interconnect to allow you to pick up debris as small as a pebble. After cleaning up the debris, three sweeps with a rake and the remaining dirt is mixed into the grass. It is even sturdy enough to pick up clumps of sod that the snow plow dug up. It works best when picking up debris from the grass as opposed to the sidewalk, so i just rake everything onto the lawn now. No more getting stuck with thorns from rose bush clippings or the sharp needles from pines and junipers. Great product! ... show more

    • Liked it, but...
Style: Gator Grabber
It definitely worked well and grabs a lot of leafs. It made getting them bagged a lot easier. The handles did keep slipping which was annoying. Ar some point the black knob came off so it came apart. I thought it worked pretty good except for not staying in position & the knob coming off. I'm 66, 5'3 and 3 back surgeries so my upper body strength isn't the best. It was a little heavy for me after a while and my back was hurting because of that. Wish it was aluminum and not as heavy. Fix the handle issue, which lots of people mentioned and make it lighter and I would give it 5! ... show more

    • 6 Stars If I Could.
Style: Gator Grabber
I LOVE this thing. I was a little skeptical about buying this, but it has made doing yard work painless. I can now rake leaves, pick them up without bending over and placing them in a bag or trash can. I actually think this has helped me keep my back pain to a minimum. I had this grabber for years, and it still is one of my favorite tools to use. I usually don’t praise on these reviews, but this purchase has been one of the best decisions I’d ever made. If I could give it 6 stars I would. ... show more

    • Save time and your back
Style: Gator Grabber
So glad I bought this, it makes leaf clean up so much easier. It can pick you a good amount of leafs, holds them tightly while you empty it into a grass bag/bin. It’s well made and helps save time doing yard work. Super easy to assemble. Handles adjustable with is great.

    • Works Well Easily
Style: Gator Grabber
Everybody get you one of these! It kept me from having to bend over to pick up leaves. I did rake the leaves into a larger pile so I could pick up more at once, but that wasn't necessary, it was my choice. A small complaint is I had a hard time locking the handles when they were extended. It took more strength than I had to twist them tight enough to stay. That's a minor issue which didn't preclude me using the tool and the ease with which I used it. ... show more

    • Useful, but flawed.
Style: Gator Grabber
I've had this for almost two years. It's a very useful tool, and does a reasonably good job with leaves and light debris, but has some serious flaws. First, the telescoping handles are constantly coming loose. They really can't handle any pressure if you push down on them or try to use this to gather leaves instead of just picking them up. I never got around to drilling a hole through the handle and inserting a pin to hold them at the right length, but fixed length handles would have been much sturdier. The grabbers themselves are pretty good - easy to clear if leaves or sticks get stuck in them, but they aren't strong enough to lift anything heavy. Even a pile of acorns poses a challenge for them - the plastic flexes too much (though that's probably better than if it cracked). The last problem is that the nut that held the screw and nylon/rubber separator in place can loosen and fall off a little too easily. Apparently, the company that makes this does not publish a parts list, spare parts can't be ordered from them, and their customer service seems to be by phone only (the website was not accepting online contact). ... show more
