It is so easy to setup: 1) handle adjustment and tighten hand knobs 2) Add oil don’t come with funnel I made one with dried out water bottle 3) Uses 85% fuel no more than 10% ETH 4) Push little gas prime rubber button to get gas to carburetor 5) Pull the start rope 6) Pull in safety arm at top of handle just like any mower to engage rotor 7) The big wheels make it so easy to steer and use. Just walk behind the power will almost pull you along fence. 8) It cut high grass, those thick tough to break weed mini trees along fence and is same height as standard driveway. Just walk and steer, no issue with power, or engjne being over powered by weeds, best dang money I’ve spent in a long time! 9) My lazy son late 20s even came out there to see, I put him to work. He was surprised and putting in new string ties is as easy as tying a bow tie in shoe laces. Straight thru to eye holes then crisscross thru center metal loop. Once the torque of rotor starts straightens line right out. Son mowed two yard fences (five full fences and two yard back fence by train tracks. Those nasty stick weed combination. Cuts a two foot path on a pass so riding mower set on three same height and no more pain in rear corners or high fence weeds or riding mowers catch a nail in fence. Fantastic weed eating machine!!!!

This is by far probably the best piece of lawn equipment I ever bought. Part of back yard has this slope and over grown with some kind of undesirable grass. It was horrible looking at it. A friend told me this what he uses on his pasture fence line. He said this would work better than my weed trimmer and man was he right. I added the oil, flew to the gas station and bought non ethanol gas. My intention was to make sure it worked, I couldn’t resist and went straight to that hill like our loose cat. I knocked down that tall grass in a matter of minutes about 20. I was so impressed I almost couldn’t stop cutting. This an amazing machine boys and girls trust me. Out of the box just simply set up your handle. I love the feature that you don’t have to shut it off when not actually trimming. Some others turn off the you have to restart. Not this one, It just sit an idle until you are ready to cut. It’s super light and easy to push. The mowing height can be adjusted as well. I didn’t adjust. Just let it down easy or you will be hitting dirt 🤗. I’m also laying sod no more tall weed grass. My babe was like man this looks great. You can do any job with the right tool(s). I want to use it again but the tall weed grass is gone for this year. Now I can see any snakes and other unwanted critters trying to hide out. Can wait until next year. Highly recommended product perfect gift ladies for your guy Christmas is almost here.

I purchased this machine in July 2024. I wanted to wait a while before I wrote a review. But I have to say, this is a very solid machine. I use it for some monster weeds and it’s been reliable and starts every time. Some of the plastic pieces around the bottom broke off. But it does not affect the machine or its performance. You definitely want to use a stronger trim line with this machine. .155 or stronger. I recommend cyclone and I’m not endorsing that company. I’m just telling you that that’s the best line I’ve used so far. Because weeds can be tough, the line has to be tough. Also, the bolts on the side of the handle tend to get loose and fall off if you’re not watching. Be sure to tighten them every so often. At least every other time you use the machine. Otherwise, I give it a total thumbs up! And we don’t use this machine to just cut small thin weeds. It rips through half inch and almost inch thick weeds like nothing.

The string trimmer does what is described. It cuts down grasses, ferns, small woody weeds, but not oak saplings without breaking the strings. I trimmed both sides of my 900 ft long driveway in the woods easily if not quickly. It starts well if instructions are followed. After cutting grass, expect to spend 10 minutes with a needle nosed pliers removing grass wound around the head. The real downside is maintenance. The Air filter can only be accessed by removing a wheel (yes, really!) and the oil drain hole is in an awkward position that makes oil changes a pain. Also, the air filter can only be purchased on their site for a cheap $3, but shipping is $12! So, get the briggs and stratton filter #5043 that fits it perfectly on amazon 2/$9 with free shipping. This also fits one of my mowers, so all is well. For its probelms and poor design, it should be about $200 less. I hope it lasts forever.....

I did a lot of research and decided on this trimmer because of the reviews and the engine size and the price. Set up is literally just fold up the handle and tighten 2 thumb screws then add the oil. I was very happy that the motor oil came with it. Installed the strings and it was ready to go. Mine has a fuel primer bulb and it started on 3rd pull. It cuts really well even in the heavy stuff. Woody stalks up to about 1/2” are no problem. It won’t cut the thicker stuff at the base but you can tilt the trimmer up and cut the branches down. My place was really overgrown because of the summer heat and and I have a sore back. This trimmer cuts the work by 75% of my big double handle Stihl hand held weed whacker. It starts easily even when hot and is very easy push with no back ache when you’re done. I was surprised at how easily it pushes. The big wheels Really make a difference. You will change string often in the heavy stuff and especially around chain link fences but that’s true with any trimmer and at least it’s pretty easy to do. I sort of wish it had an auto feed line dispenser is about the only criticism I have for it. Honestly though, I battle the darn auto feeds on my other trimmers and I was interested in this to see how much trouble it would be to change strings. It is very quick and easy. Be sure to buy extra line because it only comes with a few starter pieces. I bought a big roll and cut my own sections. I think I’m gonna try some steel cable instead of the plastic stuff. I have 3 good quality Stihl trimmers of different sizes and this wIll replace them as my first go to tool. Wish I had bought this years ago instead of my big Stihl trimmer except I can run a metal blade with my hand held to knock down the really bad stuff. This machine reduces how much I have to cut with hand held tremendously so it’s a good combo for me. I have 70 acres in north east Texas and this is a real time saver and back saver for me. Excellent bang for the buck.

I purchased this as a gift for my adult son, first of all the product shipped with a faulty filter. The company did ship a replacement filter and the machine started and ran well. Upon trying to use the machine to cut overgrowth foilage, the debris wrapped around the spool and the line kept breaking. Contrary to the “alleged” videos posted by “supposed” customers stating the product worked great. That is a LIE! “Then” I attempted to send the Earthquake Walk Behind string weedeater back…….AMAZON referred my to The Manufacturer “Earthquake via Ardisan”. I just spoke to the Ardisan customer service department and they advised that the machine could NOT be returned because it had been “used”!!!! Well…….how ELSE are you suppose to know if the machine is going to WORK as advertised?!?!?!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!! This machine does NOT function as advertised (FALSE ADVERTISEMENT) and DO NOT trust the video reviews posted on line “they are OBVIOUSLY posted by bad actors”!!!! The bottom line is THIS EARTHQUAKE WALK BEHIND WEED TRIMMER is at best a $470.00 weedeater and does NOT cut down tall foilage as advertised. UPDATE: Thank goodness for Amazons Customer Service Dept. They fully refunded my money! Kudo’s to Amazon……and SHAME ON Earthquake Products (won’t ever purchase from them again) Lousy Customer Service!

The trimmer arrived in good condition, and there was not really any assembly needed. The handle bar was not formed correctly, so the position clamping mechanisms don’t work well without some applied physical torque and tweaking. I filled the crank case with oil and added some fuel. The trimmer started right up and ran well. I put about 30 minutes of work on it before shutting it down for an oil change. Guess what? There is no oil drain plug on the engine, and the manufacturer recommends removing the fill cap and then turning the trimmer on its side to empty the oil reservoir. Nice... After making use of this new high tech oil draining method, you will be spending some time cleaning dirty motor oil off of the wheels and mower deck housing. After changing the oil, I decided to check the air filter. The filter was completely clogged with debris, so I removed it. The filter housing is of poor design and will require very frequent cleaning. Additionally, the filter housing is located right next to the wheel, which prevents removal and proper cleaning without removing the wheel. Another engineering marvel... The filter itself was already oil fouled and damaged, as it does not really fit the filter housing correctly. Brand new engine already puking oil into the carburetor? Sweet! I have attached some pictures for your review. These pictures were taken after only a couple hours of work on the machine. In the absence of an air intake screen, or pre-filter, I wouldn’t expect this engine to last very long. You will need to stay on top of the air filter cleaning, possibly a few times a day, and even that is not a long term fix. The string height is said to be adjustable, but I disassembled the string head and found only about one inch of travel up and down for height adjustment. I’m giving three stars for this trimmer due to the problems I have mentioned. Would I purchase this trimmer again with what I know now? Probably not. I think there are better options out there, even if some, (not all) of them cost a little more $$ 5 Year “Limited” Warranty? I strongly recommend that you read the warranty verbiage before making your decision. I would also recommend reading the one, two, and three star reviews of this mower before you decide to purchase it.
