This thing is a beast. I got it in 2023 and it still pulls on the 1st try as I just used it tonight. It has a lot of power, easy to re-do the strings and is easy to keep up maintenance on. It is way stronger than my weed whacker, and can handle going over hills or ruts and rocks and all kinds of terrain with really no issues at all that I've run into. It's fairly light too so easy to pull back up hills. It will also chew up all kinds of things to include even small saplings and tougher vines. It’s a beast. Cuts very well. I’m probably not going to be able to use it where I wanted because it is on a bank. But still have plenty of places to use it. It’s nice along the gravel road so we don’t dull the mower blades. It also worked great along our overgrown creek bank.

This was very well packed for shipment. Right out of the box after putting oil and 100% gas, (which I prefer for smaller engines), it started on the second pull. I have an area along my property line and my neighbors long gravel driveway that is littered with tall weeds and it is a tough chore to cut these weeds down with a weedeater. The Earthquake mower handles most of the weeds with no problem. Some of these weeds that end up a bush of sorts, are tough as nails. I'm not so sure the claim that it will cut some items 2 inches in diameter. It does cut well on level surfaces. However you'll most likely need the weedeater to knock out those weeds that are located on the slopes of small ditch lines. That's ok. It still saved me a lot of time compared to my using my weedeater on the level areas. So all in all I'm happy with the purchase. If any updates are needed I'll be back. The Norseman ... show more

Hesitated buying as this is really expensive for a weed eater. However, after unboxing I'm so glad I jumped in head first. Came fully assembled all you have to do is adjust the cutting height if you choose with the tools provided. They even provide the oil for the machine. Started easily and can run with a single hand. The wheels are huge so it's very easy to move around. I cut through grass and weeds 4 feet high like it was nothing. If it helps anything, my 12 year old daughter is now using this thing to do the trimming. I've literally only had it a few days so can't comment in how well it holds up. The media could not be loaded. This is by far probably the best piece of lawn equipment I ever bought. Part of back yard has this slope and over grown with some kind of undesirable grass. It was horrible looking at it. A friend told me this what he uses on his pasture fence line. He said this would work better than my weed trimmer and man was he right. I added the oil, flew to the gas station and bought non ethanol gas. My intention was to make sure it worked, I couldn’t resist and went straight to that hill like our loose cat. I knocked down that tall grass in a matter of minutes about 20. I was so impressed I almost couldn’t stop cutting. This an amazing machine boys and girls trust me. Out of the box just simply set up your handle. I love the feature that you don’t have to shut it off when not actually trimming. Some others turn off the you have to restart. Not this one, It just sit an idle until you are ready to cut. It’s super light and easy to push. The mowing height can be adjusted as well. I didn’t adjust. Just let it down easy or you will be hitting dirt 🤗. I’m also laying sod no more tall weed grass. My babe was like man this looks great. You can do any job with the right tool(s). I want to use it again but the tall weed grass is gone for this year. Now I can see any snakes and other unwanted critters trying to hide out. Can wait until next year. I purchased this as a gift for my adult son, first of all the product shipped with a faulty filter. The company did ship a replacement filter and the machine started and ran well. Upon trying to use the machine to cut overgrowth foilage, the debris wrapped around the spool and the line kept breaking. Contrary to the “alleged” videos posted by “supposed” customers stating the product worked great. That is a LIE! “Then” I attempted to send the Earthquake Walk Behind string weedeater back…….AMAZON referred my to The Manufacturer “Earthquake via Ardisan”. I just spoke to the Ardisan customer service department and they advised that the machine could NOT be returned because it had been “used”!!!! Well…….how ELSE are you suppose to know if the machine is going to WORK as advertised?!?!?!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!! This machine does NOT function as advertised (FALSE ADVERTISEMENT) and DO NOT trust the video reviews posted on line “they are OBVIOUSLY posted by bad actors”!!!! The bottom line is THIS EARTHQUAKE WALK BEHIND WEED TRIMMER is at best a $470.00 weedeater and does NOT cut down tall foilage as advertised. UPDATE: Thank goodness for Amazons Customer Service Dept. They fully refunded my money! Kudo’s to Amazon……and SHAME ON Earthquake Products (won’t ever purchase from them again) Lousy Customer Service! ... show more
