Pros: This little speaker just flat out sounds good. Puts out some impressive bass – balanced and deep, not that boomy stuff! Well balanced sound overall. Highly recommend picking up a pair to play in stereo (very easy to set up). Cons: Maybe a tiny bit lacking in the top end because it doesn't have a dedicated tweeter. Upgrading firmware is a bit clunky and you need to have a PC. A bit ridiculous that you can't do it on a Mac. Pro tip: Downgrade the firmware to 048 or 043 (depending on who you ask). The older firmware versions were tuned by YouTube audiophile Oluv. The new firmware (050) is not. It has exaggerated bass and is not as well balanced. Bottom Line: On sale, you can pick up a pair of these for a hundred bucks. You can't get better portable stereo sound for anything close to that price. ... show more

    • Awesome speaker with some quirks
First of all I like Earfun as a company and have several of their earbuds. So , I decided to give their speaker a try. The speaker arrived on time for me to take it on my family vacation and I got to do a lot of testing at the pool and at the beach. I like this speaker enough to keep it but there are a few things that I wished it had. Please review the Pros and Cons. Pros: It's waterproof It floats (yes I tested this in the pool and beach) The sound quality is awesome (I just wish I had a second one to test stereo mode) It has nice highs and lows and good bass Party/ sharing mode was a surprise (I was able to share the speaker with the wife) Sand came off of it with ease Good battery life Tough and you can tell this was a quality speaker Connected to my phone with ease Cons: It floats but the speakers make it front heavy and the sound is directed to the bottom of the pool. This was fine for people swimming underwater as the could feel and hear the speaker but not so good for people that is not underwater. There is no carrying strap- Don't get me wrong here, but it does have a little heft to it and as a portable speaker you would expect to tote this around easily. I'm not very techy, nor a "snob" about my speaker sound, so take this review with a grain of salt. I like the speaker sound and size. I was able to hook it up to my phone after a couple tries... so if I can do it, anyone can! It seems well made and so far, all is well!

    • Too new to really rate longivity, but...
Ok, Amazon, as a suggestion, please stop sending product reviews before at least 6 months of use! This requested review email arrived before this product was unpacked! Be that as it may-great overall, balanced sound! Decent bass! I chose this model UBOOM L over the similarly rated JBL Bluetooth of similar size. The JBLs this size are more rounded and have a tendency to roll off platforms if on a boat; where I am most of the time. I cannot attest to the durability of this model so early into my purchase (so I cannot rate the battery life as of yet), but a great speaker to fill a room or back porch. Very pleased with the fullness and clarity of the sound. No muffle or hum in sound projection. BTW-item is packaged very well! We all know Amazon can, at times, send and/or package items very poorly for shipment; but the folks at EarFun go out of their way to package this item extremely well, reassuring the purchaser that the item will not merit a superficial broken return! ... show more

    • Just what I was looking for
Bought this speaker to use with an outdoor tv. Paired the speaker with both a low latency transmitter and my android phone. Both went ok without any issues. In video mode I didn't notice any latency issues. Can't comment on the sound as I haven't used it that much other than to say it is very loud on the highest volume setting. I gave it 5's on sound and battery life but I haven't used it long enough to be sure of the rating Update: It appears that the speaker doesn't reconnect to a Bluetooth device when it is turned on. ... show more

    • Good sound, but sometimes finicky - keep having to reset...on two different speakers now
I ordered 2 of these. Have had them less than 60 days now. Both are finicky about changing bluetooth devices they connect to. Both just stopped charging and operating (wouldn't connect to anything) until i reset them. I would probably return them if they were still within the 30-day return window.
