You never realize how much gross is in your ear until you see it with a camera. I was shocked after just cleaning my ears and going in with the scope to double check. It’s like I didn’t do anything cleaning prior at all. The little hook attachment makes sure that’s a thing of the past and lets you softly scrape out wax and grossness out of your ear. I’ve also used this to see up my nose out of curiousity. It’s pretty interesting. Though I’ll only really use this for my ears. It comes with a usb cable to charge and after about 20 minutes I was at 78% and then the next day about another 10 minutes brought me down to 69%, so battery life seems really solid and fair for what you’re using. It comes with additional tips but the blue scoop tip I love the most. Easiest to use and feels amazing in the ear. Honestly I’m probably weird but it’s therapeutic in a way. The other tips would allow for multiple uses and I think that’s cool. I could see this being used in a multiple of ways. You honestly never know where you’ll need a little light and camera. Maybe under a toenail or in your mouth to see if there’s something wrong. Human anatomy met its mark with this product. It’s versatile. It really does do the job and it does it well. The app allows for quick setup. You have to connect to the WiFi that’s provided by the hardware scope. Then the app just sees the product and boom you have video. There’s built in record and photo options. Even different camera views which is cool. You would think the camera isn’t that great but it’s scary good. You can even take a selfie with it if you wanted. I think everyone should get one of these to level up the hygiene game. It’s not that expensive and is absolutely worth it. I highly recommend it.

Amazing how clearly you can see the outer ear canal to the tympanic membrane. I am a physician and travel with this because it is small and it works incredibly well to remove wax and visualize the outer air canal.

Like the title says, this a neat device. I got it primarily for the purpose of checking my ears for any build up. I was a little surprised to see that I had no problematic amounts of build up and earwax amounts seemed normal, considering that I used to get a lot more wax (I also used to use Q-tips to clean deep inside my ears — which I don’t anymore — so that might be why). Set up and connection to the app was easy. Dexterity-wise the device is hard to get used to, but with a little practice you might be able to master it. Just be extremely careful using it as you don’t want to rupture your eardrum or the tympanic membrane protecting it. A healthy eardrum and membrane will look circular, somewhat fleshy, and have a bit of shine and translucency to it. There are great pictures of them available on the internet for you to get a complete idea of their appearance. Also note that repeated scraping against the ear canal may cause irritation as it did for me. The default blue scoop tip that the device comes with is small but firm enough to agitate this sensitive area of your ear. I found that the cushy black tip was less irritating to my ear canal and was able to “latch” onto to more wax because of its fibres. If you have a large piece of build up it would be better to see a doctor who can get rid of it professionally or use some type of safe irrigation kit to remove the wax. This device should be used only for small pieces of wax and debris inside the ear that do not block the canal. Attempting to remove a large, obstructive piece with it may only push it in further, causing more damage.

I made this purchase based on a recommendation from a friend. Being an avid swimmer and dealing with ear infections from time to time, I take my ear care extremely seriously. While I generally use ear drops to dry out my ears, I also know that these are not always good as they can be counter productive to wax build-up. Therefore, I purchased the ear wax remover and cleaner with a camera to be able to see if I might have any issues within my ear. The tool is very impressive. To get started, I had to download an application to my phone and hook the tool up to my phone through WiFi. This was very easy and took just two minutes or so. As soon as the connection was established, the camera and light at the tip of the tool came on. I could tell by looking at the phone that the image itself was very high quality. Inserting the tool into the ear canal takes a bit of practice and should be done very carefully and slowly. My recommendation is to try not to start cleaning immediately, but to get used to moving the tool and camera around so you get a feel for the angles and what you are looking at. Once you feel comfortable, if you do see any wax or other dirt in your ear you could start slowly removing it with the tool. Just be extremely careful not to injure yourself. If you feel uncomfortable, but see something that doesn’t belong, it is better to seek out your physician. The tool does come with three different interchangeable tips, small spoon, larger spoons, and sponges. It uses a rechargeable battery and includes a USB cable so you can recharge it. While I am not sure how comfortable I will be if I should have large debris in my ear to remove it using the tool, I am at least prepared to have a quick look inside if I feel something is off, and can go see a physician to get help, rather than not know. Having this peace of mind is definitely worth much more than the low cost of the tool. I have included some pictures so you can see what you will get when your order arrives at the door. Everything is neatly packaged in a small case. It doesn’t come with an extra pouch, so I will just keep it together with the small draw out box it came in and wash the tip of the tool with water and some rubbing alcohol as recommended.

You can see in your ear, for a few. Then it freezes up. Tap on the picture and maybe it wil be ok a few more secs. Not worth it. Pay more and get a good quality. This is not it.
