bit looks and cuts pretty good but pitch build up is very significant and chip extraction is poor comparing with similar CMT bit I just ruined. May be because it is three flute bit not two or back is not polished as good as CMT does.

I particularly like that you can buy an extended version of this original but they actually purchase two. The bit is built very sturdy there’s no way that this is ever going to break. However for the cost it seems a bit excessive. My favorite thing is one a bid been a shift with a very nice case. I only plan to use this bitch cutting using my festool1400. So it’s nice and I can toss it in the case and keep in inside the retainer. I did purchase again I own two of these just to have a back up. I hope this review is helpful ... show more

Needed bit to cut 1.5" thick butcher block on my cnc machine. Although it didn't have speeds and feeds, I used numbers for similar bit on another site. I was scared to run at suggested speed of 300 IPM. After testing at 100IPM and 150IPM, I ran it up to 200IPM and it cut everything like butter. Nice clean edges all the way through. I used 220 grit sand paper on the finished edge and barely had do do any sanding the cuts were so smooth. Very impressed and was about 30% of the competitive product i was looking at. ... show more

Bought a pair of these bits for the same cost as a Whiteside bit. Using the bits in a router table to make box joints in White Limba hardwood. 3/4" depth cut with these 1/2" bits. Got through about half the board on the first cut. Bit started chattering and burning. Limba has a Janka hardness of 490. Going back to Whiteside bits. ... show more
