These guards seem to be well constructed and use study heavy woven fabric. I only use them for protection when in my gear bag so I cannot comment on if these would work for your kids if they're walking from the car to the rink. They look great, fit fine, but I don’t know about that whole cut resistant thing. My skates cut right through them when I accidentally stepped on something solid.

I bought these for my sons hockey skates, he’s a youth 4.5. They’re perfect to protect the blades and the lining absorbs any moisture. Blades are 10.5” not sure they would cover much larger. Easy to put on
