I live in Maine, and I have diabetes. My feet are often cold, even when indoors. On days when the weather was cold, but the snow was not too deep, I wore a pair of insulated "sneaker type" shoe from LL Bean's. Normally, their products are excellent, but despite the insulation, my feet were often cold. I needed to replace the old shoes, so I looked online. I found these simple shoes. I was a little hesitant, I tend to need a wider shoe. Not only was the fit excellent, but the shoes are very comfortable despite the lack of arch support. They are also the warmed small shoe I think I've ever worn, even warmer than my inside only, fur lined slippers. They were actually less expensive than either the old shoe, or my inside slippers. I've only had them for a day or two, but I've worn them every time I've gone outside. They've remained dry, warm and comfortable. I would highly recommend trying them. The packing for these boots is atrocious! They did not use a box so the boots were smashed and wrinkle. The quality is cheap and you can Cleary see the glue . So ugly and cheap , I do not recommend.

My husband had ordered a pair of these a week or so before I did and he absolutely loved them. He hates everything or at least there is an issue with whatever. He loved these, so I wore them a few times taking the dog out. They were pretty decent, just big because they were his. So I bought my own pair. I love them! I've only worn these for a few days, but they are great. Easy to get on, warm and so far, decent traction. We'll see how that goes when we have a lot more ice and snow. They do run a bit small, so I ordered up 1/2 a size and my husband ordered a full size larger. He originally ordered a 12, but returned and got the 13. I ordered a 10.5 women's where I normally take a 10. I ordered the mustard yellow color and it is exactly that - a mustard yellow. I definitely know which ones are mine! I would recommend them as a boot/slipper to do fast errands or taking out the dog. Not a real dressy shoe, but that was not the intent of my purchase. ... show more

UPDATE: I'm surprised how much I love these shoes. They perform great. I've walked in snow and ice and feel really steady on my feet. The tread gives remarkable grip. Again, I wouldn't wear these for style, but they're really not bad at all for running errands or taking the dog for a walk. The snow just brushes right off. Even in 20-degree weather my feet are toasty warm and dry. I'm even considering a second pair in another color. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The boots are just what I needed for the winter. They aren't super stylish,but they're warm and comfy. These are perfect for taking the dog for a quick walk, to the market, or just around the house. The material has a bit of a shine to it ( not reflected in the product photos), but I'm getting used to it. I wish the finish was more like cloth or canvas, but I assume that's what makes them water repellent. As far as size, I read that these run big, so I bought a size true to my foot. Sometimes I wear a 9 (men's) but my foot is really an 8. I bought an 8 and it fits PERFECTLY. Nice and snug but not too tight. The opening is just tight enough that the boots don't feel like they'll slide off. Another reviewer said they opening was too small/tight, but I don't feel that at all. It could even be a bit closer to my ankle. The sole of the shoe is surprisingly sturdy given what I've read. They're remarkably rigid and not flimsy feeling at all. No arch support--that's true--but I wasn't expecting superior comfort from a pair of $30 shoes. I can easily walk the neighborhood with the dog in these with no problem. Definitely more substantial than just a "house shoe." Would I go hiking in them? No. I haven't been in the snow in them yet, but I think they'll do just fine. I could even see myself slipping into these after skiing. All in all, I think these are going to work out great. ... show more

I wanted these to keep in my backpack while I skied as an alternative to Pakems which are currently unavailable. I might have kept them though they were heavy but they seemed to have been used because there were inserts inside each one and they were definitely used. That kind of turned me off. They are loose, probably because they are gender neutral so need to be wide enough for men's feet. They aren't lightweight because the sole is quite thick and heavy. I'd only want them for a quick walk while carrying my ski boots and I think they'd be ok for that. I will wait until Packems are available again. ... show more

I don't like this product because they are not warm at all and the soles are super thin and hard. Not a good product at all, i will not buy again. Fyi, i wore them on different weather 20 ,35, and 60. My feet were super cold.

Well this is My 2nd. Day with these shoes and I Absolutely love Them My Feet are Nice and Warm and I Live in Southern New England and We are in the Winter Season and I was Outside with My German Shepherd and My Feet are Warm So Just Order Yourself a Pair You Will Thank Me.

I like this sole better than the other brands, but the heal area is very low making it uncomfortable to walk in. Will require heal inserts. They grip great (check out the difference in the texture of other brands on the sole on the shoe) - these are better. And the Fur does not shed which is a ++ for me. (I've tried 'fur lined' shoes before that shedded terribly - these don't) I'd give 5 STARS if the heal was more comfortable/not so low. (Makes you feel like you're walking with your toes up in the air.) ... show more
