I bought the greenhouse in April 2022 and put it on a narrow part of the deck, partially under an overhang and against the house. I never attached it to the house. Did really over the summer and fall and up until the end of Feb. it survived all the snow storms we have been having in California (I am in the mountains 4800 ft) with winds upward of 60mph. However, what did it in was 31/2+ feet of snow and ice sliding off the roof and essentially crushing it. Poles got bent, connectors stressed and broken and the outside was torn. Have just dug through 6 ft of snow to get to it. Plants were somewhat okay (even after 3 weeks like this) but I haven’t yet tried to salvage the parts. So as flimsy as it seems, mine held out quite well in the spot it was in. Will definitely attempt to salvage it but likely get a new one and figure out the snow on the roof situation should we have storms like this again. ... show more

    • Impressive construction
This was a breeze to put together. This is on a covered deck holding succulents in warm weather and over wintering other plants in cold. Kudos to the engineer who thought to make the wire shelves in 2 pieces per shelf! I often have plants to overwinter that I have to carefully bend because they are taller than the shelf. I can now just leave one side out and the plant can stay tall. Ingenious. The shelf clips are kind of fun. I have not seen them before. They are a nice addition but be careful when you remove them because they pop off like a shot. I probably just need to practice. I have not put the cover on and won't until cold weather. With the added "grid" it appears to be sturdier and much more pliant than the one I just threw away. ... show more

    • Degraded plastic after first year
I bought this in spring 2022 and am in my second year of using it. It was disassembled and stored indoors from October until February, but appears that the plastic degraded from being in direct sunlight for its first 6 months of use. This fact doesn’t surprise me because that’s what plastic does in UV light. What disappoints me, though, is that it doesn’t appear a replacement cover is available in this size from this company; and replacement covers from other companies won’t work because the sizes aren’t exactly the same. After this year, I will likely have to throw the entire thing away, including the frame, which is still in decent condition. It would be really nice if Eagle Peak would sell replacement covers for all the tents they sell, so the frames can continue to be used. It would also be nice if the shelves were deeper. They’re made to hold a 20x10 tray sideways instead of longways, so very few trays fit inside compared to the overall footprint of the tent. It would be much better if there were at least 20” deep shelves across the back of the tent, where there is nothing but dead space. Having 20” deep shelves on the sides would also be much more ideal, even if it meant reducing the width of the door by a couple inches. There are also no shelves at the ground-level, meaning trays have to sit directly on the ground. This is problematic when grass under the tent grows tall, and when roots in the pots start growing into the ground below because the ground is literally touching the bottom of those pots. ... show more

Holds in temperature and humidity very well once closed. Durable cover and easy to put together, very self-explanatory even if there are no directions. The racks are a little flimsy and the structure is overall not high quality metal for the price which is the reason for the 4/5 stars, but it gets the job done! Overall, this is one of the better ones I’ve seen or dealt with and I’d recommend to buy if you’re looking. ... show more

I’d like it more if the door were clear material so I can see how things are doing without opening the door. 2. The media could not be loaded. Easy to put together as long as you don't mix up the tubing lengths. Did it by myself and moved later to the patio by just getting inside and holding it up while walking. The tubing and plastic exterior covering are very strong. Grounding stakes, not very effective, thin. I put a wireless thermometer inside to monitor the temperature from inside my home. Overall, I like it very much. Inside, I placed a 30 gallon storage tote over the bottom tubes in each corner and filled them with water. Acts as a heat sink to release its heat during the night and also holds down the greenhouse. ... show more
