Good example of “it’s the little things that make me happy”. This [only] 20+ year old house had black recessed cans which are redundant (black absorbs light and the idea of having light is to project it). I couldn’t stand seeing the black holes on our ceiling any longer, so I ordered these. I love that they come with two sizes of trims (one narrow and one wider) to choose from. These replacement cans are very quick and easy to swap out and quite good quality for the price. My only qualm is that Amazon limited the amount I was able to purchase so I had to buy the rest via Home Depot and thankfully, they were exactly the same for the same low price (plus free shipping as I purchased a quantity). PS- sorry I don’t have before pics of the “black holes” but just know that my ceiling now has a much cleaner, fresher and the light shines brighter with the white cans. ... show more

    • Cheap and get the job done
Cheaper then buying these at the hardware store, and way cheaper than replacing the whole can light too. Good replacement for your old, yellowing trims. Easy install once you figure it out.

Overall a good product. Improves the appearance of the can light and the price is quite good. Only complaint is that the trim ring appears to have a ceramic coating which chipped with little resistance.
