After seeing a good deal of hype over this particular shade, I decided to give it a try. I do like that it’s a great alternative to my usual dark brown liner. Black is way too intense for my coloring, so the plum works very well for me. It’s a kohl pencil with good staying power. Of course in hot summer temps it will likely require a fresh application. I like that the texture is creamy and smooth, and doesn’t drag or pull on my skin. I think this is a great pencil for the price, and I’m glad to have another color option besides brown. I have not tried to sharpen it yet, but it appears that it would be no problem to sharpen it. The line goes on smoothly and can be adjusted to your preference, depending on how much you sharpen it, and the angle that is used. I like a thicker coverage, and this worked beautifully. Love these elf eyeliners! I have them in multiple colors I like them so much! They are nice and creamy so they aren’t dried out and brittle like some cheaper eyeliners! They make a nice line that actually shows up too! This one was turquoise kind of or like a teal color. It’s easy to blend w/ a brush or sponge. They aren’t irritating to the eye either. I’ll include pics of what this one looked like in my final makeup look! ... show more

Great for the price. Not messy at all in my opinion. It’s lighter on the skin than it looks but still obviously blue. It goes on smooth, stays on all day, just pretty light. Very pleased with the consistency and quality of this eyeliner for 2 bucks! I couldn’t ask for a better deal. I’m not sure about water resistance but it stays on regardless of sweat the entirety of a 90 degree day in Michigan. ... show more

This eyeliner came in during a really busy week for me so it took a while for me to realize I "hadn't received it." Turns out it had blown away from my mail delivery location and around the side of my house and was sitting there for almost a week in the desert summer heat! The point is still sharp and the pencil works same as ever, needless to say I'm impressed! I stopped wearing makeup for a while and am making a gradual return, and not only are these eyeliners super easy to use and beginner friendly (VERY forgiving), they can literally take the heat and hold up for long periods of time and in pretty damp conditions! It's the softes, most lovely eye pencil I've ever smudged. Smoky waterline perfection at once. You can even use it for a neutral contour, it's that blendable. Unfortunately that also means instant raccoon eyes, 5 minutes later. So I can't actually use it since I want to look pretty AFTER exiting the front door, not just on the way to it. ... show more
