I purchased Luminous Putty Bronzer in 'Vacay Mood' and Putty Bronzer in 'Feelin' Shady' they are the same color except the 'Luminous Putty Bronzer has a slight sheen. The review for each is the same. This is a smooth sheer cool grayish beige cream. This works well as a contour as its the same color as the shadow cast on the skin, which is what contouring tries to recreate. I also use this as a color toner for my face. Just as a purple shampoo is used to neutralize the brassy orange tones in blonde hair, I use this to cool down blush, eyeshadow and lipstick that looks too orange on my skin and I only use my fingers. Used alone as a bronzer this is too gray and will make you look like a black and white photograph of yourself. You still need blush and lip color with this. Overall this is a useful product that gets me using colors I already bought but sit unused (which is a waste of money). Buy one shade or the other, you don't need both. ... show more

I usually love ELF. This was fine. I am very cool toned and it was a decently cool toned color. The formula is not great though. It smears makeup under it around and doesn’t have lasting power. Not really buildable either. The container is small and it doesn’t last long. For people searching for cool-toned cream bronzer— check out the Essence Baby Got Bronze in Moon Dust. It’s the first actually cool toned contour stick I have ever found (Fenty Amber is to warm for me) and it’s like $5 ... show more

I have pale skin and cool undertones and was struggling to find an actual contor that wasn't a warm tone bc it looks orangish on me. I'm not a super knowledgeable person when it comes to makeup and I have a tight budget. Was willing to give this a try but no store in my area sells it. I was excited when it came in, it is a cream texture and definitely more cool/grey undertones which works perfectly with my skin. Honestly it’s a total waste of money. It kills me to give elf a bad review bc I am in love with most of their products and prices.. however, this one just isn’t “it”. It has virtually ZERO pigment. I now just use it as an eye shadow base & it barely shows up. I’m using it on my eyes for a “no make up” make up look in my crease. Meh. I hope Elf changes the formula bc the tone is/would be great. It’s cool toned which is what I was seeking but just too sheer. Might be good for a young girl who is just starting to contour. I would only suggest it to a tween for a subtle look. ... show more
