This little lip gloss/lipstick/ lip balm has quickly become one of my favorite products ever. It’s not sticky, lightweight, and feels like a very light balm on your lips. The center is clear lipgloss and the surrounding color is very lightweight but heavily pigmented. I have the wine color and I love it so much. I have almost given up my Clinique “Almost Lipstick” in Black Honey, my all time favorite until I found ELF.

I went based off the pictures of different skin tones per each lip gloss, I'm the middle (brown/olive skin). I got happy ecstatic and delightful and they all look on me exactly how they look on the girl in the picture. Huge success, exactly what I wanted. Not a gloss, not a lip stick. Chapstick/balm with a tint. I did a lot of research on different products with the same use and this had the best reviews for it's tinting capabilities. I must say, that is my favorite thing about this product so far. Just make sure you get the right color for your skin tone! (Follow the chart, it worked for me when reviews couldn’t)

Pros: it's moisturizing, luxurious-feeling, vegan, and highly affordable. Cons: The main reason why I was interested in this product is that I'd heard that this shade was a dupe for Clinique's Black Honey. I agree it's a very similar product. However, I was mildly disappointed to find that this shade of lip color suits me no better than Black Honey, which I tried over twenty years ago. While Black Honey and its dupes are touted as a shade that is universally flattering, that's really an exaggeration. It's not so much that "this shade looks terrific on everybody," it's more like "this shade doesn't look terrible on anyone." On me, it's a purplish berry color that doesn't exactly clash with my skin tone, but it doesn't exactly complement it either. It just looks... okay. Nobody ever compliments me on this lip color when I wear it, unlike this other lipstick that I have, which gets me compliments from complete strangers at the supermarket every time I wear it. I think the issue is that Black Honey and all of its dupes are a little too cool, and my skin requires a slightly warmer lip color in order to look good. Having said that, I intend to keep wearing this because of its excellent moisturizing properties. Next time, I'll try the same Elf product but in one of the warmer shades, which I bet will look great on me. I think Giddy is the one that will work best on me, and if that one turns out to be too warm or too bright and saturated, Cheery will be my next pick. Giddy and Cheery appear to be very similar shades, except that Cheery seems to be more sheer and less saturated.

I love this even more than I hoped. Goes on smoothly with prefect texture. Not to thin or cakey either. Very hydrating if you have dry lips but want a bit of color and shine that will stay put but not feel too heavy. Color coverage is full like a lipstick, not a sheer tint. Has shine but not overly glossy. Probably the best lip color and moisturizer combo I've ever tried and the price point is great for what it is. Will get more in a couple more colors.

I was expecting just a normal lip balm with some gloss to it but o didn’t really get that. It’s more like a light lipstick with barely any gloss for me. I have to overlap it with some gloss just for it to be nice. It smells really good almost like a candy but I wish it was more glossy. The color will look different for everyone based on there skin tone and I like how it looks on mine. Then again I wish it was more glossy like they advertised it as. It’s easy to apply and really smooth on my lips.

Elf is on the right, clinique black cherry on the left. The elf brand actually reminds me more of the deep, dark, rich wine color that i loved about clinique black cherry back in the early 2000s. When i recently bought clinique black cherry it was more pink & bright than i remembered. The elf brand is more purpley/wine colored like i wanted.

Love the shade, and hours of moisture it adds! I am 50, with warm skin tone (light in winter) and dark hair. It arrived today and I’m already in love! The subtle wine shade is exactly what I wanted! I’ve tried so many lip products that promise to add moisture and not fade into the fine lines on my lips, but this is truly a game changer! I’m not a fan of the smell, but it’s not a dealbreaker. I’ve already placed my order for more shades because I’m hooked!

This is sooo cute. It has the right amount of tint to make it look natural but also gives such a nice little shine and feels so smooth. I got the shade ecstatic and I’m olive undertone medium skin tone. Most tints are either too pink or Orangish for my skin tone but this one is perfect
