This is decent primer. It’s pretty silky but does sit on top of the skin. You can see the color of it like a tinted moisturizer. It’s an okay primer but I have used better. Actually better from this brand.

I’m 65 and have I’ve tried so many expensive matte primers but none work as good as this brand. It preps my big pores perfectly so my foundation goes on smoothly. And it keeps my face matte but not so matte that I look like a powdered face. It’s perfect!

I tried this in place of my usual Miracle Blur. It just cannot compare to the great job MB does. The elf one does hydrate well, but as far as minimizing the appearance of pores, and making a smooth (not wet) foundation for make up... I am going back to my Miracle Blur. It does an amazing job and literally blurs your fine lines and pores. MB also gives you a matted finish, where the elf product left my face feeling wet. With Miracle Blur, a little goes a long way. With this elf product, it takes more product for a decent outcome. You DO get good value for your money here with elf(!), but there are just better options for pore coverage, Specifically, than this one. I have not tried their other elf products.
