The washed cotton has a permanently wrinkly look, which works okay, but wish it was less textured. After one wash, the material is a little tough still. I am hoping it softens a little after more. Depending on the amount of light in your room, your duvet cover may appear darker. The picture is true to what I received, and the zipper at the bottom is a novel idea.
