This replacement ink waste tank fits my Epson ET-8550 perfectly. Just open up the top of the printer, unclip the old tank and slide the new one in. Couldn't be easier to install. Great product at a great price

Some third-party maintenance boxes use reset chips that fail to register properly with the printer, but that is not the case here. This unit functions exactly as expected in my office Epson, which cycles through maintenance boxes frequently. I compared this maintenance box with the original Epson one. The original weighs about 99 g, while this one is around 92 g. There are some minor exterior differences, but the overall dimensions are identical. Attached is a photo comparing their chips for reference.

I have an Epson Workforce WF-7840 (firmware 04.95.DC.12P6), and the original maintenance box was nearing the end of its life. So I started to look for an appropriate replacement, and I found this. I successfully replaced the maintenance box, which the printer recognized and functioned without issues after installation. One thing to keep in mind with remanufactured printer consumables is that they are all controlled by microchips that are installed on them, and the printer firmware can block them. If the maintenance box is functioning correctly in the printer, it is crucial not to update the printer's firmware, as this could cause the maintenance box to fail. With all that being said, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cost-effective replacement for the maintenance box.
