I am not a stylist but I learned the worth of a good hair dryer in my early 20s. I’ve always invested a fair amount in them, and in turn they’ve saved me time and lasted many years at a time. By “a fair amount,” I mean $100, $150; when Dyson came out I was more offended than anything by a $450 hairdryer. I’d never buy one and didn’t care. Until… I’d been searching for 6+ months for a replacement for an eight year old Babyliss that just didn’t seem to dry my hair as fast as it used to. I bought and returned a few expensive dryers ($200+), irritated with how they weren’t quite right. Then I saw the Dyson Origin priced at $300, and right after came into a surprise $250 Amazon gift card and I couldn’t resist. If you’re considering it, BUY IT. It IS that good. It’s amazing and I frankly don’t understand how it achieves what it does. The airflow is deceptively powerful, because it somehow feels “soft”. My hair simply dries quicker. I don’t know why or how it works, it just does. And it doesn’t make me a sweaty hot mess, AND it’s quiet. My hair is shinier. My life is better. I don’t dread blowing my hair out nearly the way I used to (it’s just something I absolutely hate doing). If $300 isn’t a hardship, just buy it already. You won’t regret it.

Sure, it's expensive, everything Dyson does seems to be. Still, an exceptional product. Performance is outstanding. The one big drawback is the 'don't coil the cord' mandate. Makes daily storage a hassle.

Okay, so I never knew what the big deal was about when it came to Dyson hair tools I thought it would be the same as using any other hair tool. Boy, was I wrong! My cousin was visiting and she was telling me all all about how she couldn't live without her Dyson hair dryer and how she's told all her friends and they feel the same. So, I bit the bullet and ordered this Dyson hair dryer "holy moly" is this thing AMAZING!!!!! I love it so much that I was able to get rid of 6 of my hair tools because this one hair dryer did all 6 of those things. It's lightweight so easy to handle, the different nozzles let you create different hairstyles and the case is just perfect. My hair is so silky after I use this. I am obsessed with product.

I bought this hair dryer in mid-October. It worked only three times, the fourth time it just stopped working, I called Dyson and first time they said they would send me a return label within 8-10 minutes. 24 hours later I called again and I did get a return label and had to take it to UPS, They received it back on November 7th. On November 10th I received an email saying "Your new machine is on its way", with an order number and tracking link to UPS, But UPS says it has no information, I waited a week or so and called Dyson back (but I have to say each time I called I waited at least 20-30 minutes to talk to someone whose English is very hard to understand). He told me it takes 7-14 business days to process. After a few more phone calls I was told I would have a new machine on November 27th. Of course, it never came. I called again on November 30th and the man I talk to said he would send an email to wherever these machines come from and call me back. Needless to say it is now December 3rd and I have not heard from him, I do not know what to do from here. But I am very disappointed in Dyson and their customer service. You should expect better from a company who sells a $400. hair dryer. I bought this through Amazon but do not feel it is their problem that is why I have wasted hours waiting for some satisfaction from Dyson,

Works very well on my fine hair. Think it minimizes the frizzies. I hang mine. Clean the filter occasionally. Expensive for sure.Light weight. Nice heat level. Has all the power I need.
