    • Works, only blows a small area of heat zone, had to fix it
I expected this to force air flow through the full front grill area, but it only blows air for the width of the insert. It worked fine for a couple days, then stopped coming on in auto-mode. Removed it, reseated the connectors on the thermal switch, moved the thermal switch a tad closer (bending the mount) to the heat area, and it's worked fine since. Not a lot of noise, that's good. It does what it claims, but I would like to have a design that moves air from the entire upper heated grill area, would be more efficient. It was a good purchase. ... show more

The ad title might be misleading. THIS IS NOT A HEATER! This is a blower for the Dyna-Glo GBF30DTDG-2 30,000 heater. Some complain that this doesn't blow very much, but in fact it does. The blower directs heat from all around the unit, not just one spot. If you're looking for a blow dryer, buy a blow dryer. But if you're looking for a way to add heat distribution with the above mentioned heater, this is it. I have had zero problems with this blower, and hope it continues to do its job. For the complainers....It's a fan. Fans make noise, maybe you missed science class. The noise is not obnoxious, but it is there. I would highly recommend this if you buy the heater. ... show more

This small fan greatly increases air flow and spreading heat throughout my shop. Build quality is nice. Small size, but very powerful. Works great. Looks? You won't even see it as it's mounted behind the unit. Great price

I’ve ordered this item a few times for gas heaters we have put in at both homes we own. They work great, easy to hook up (according to the hubby). Never had an issue. Will keep buying as needed.

    • Lost full functionality within 2 hours of installation
I was thrilled immediately after turning this on for the first time. Set it to auto and it turned on immediately as it should and it was whisper quiet. The second time the fan came on I could hear it from 30 feet away and it has been loud like that ever since. Within the first three hours after installation the auto function quit working. Now the fan only comes on in manual mode making the fan pretty much useless. Fortunately I had an Inkbird Temperature controller on hand I had purchased for another project. I wired a plug and a receptacle to the controller and plugged the fan into that to regain the auto on feature. In other words I spent $20 in additional parts to get some functionality out of the $40 fan that failed on its first day of use and is still exceptionally noisy as fans go. On top of that if I remove the fan from the space heater I'm left with a sizable hole in the back of the heater where I had to remove the large knockout plate where the fan gets installed. With temperatures in the 30s this week I'm stuck with this totally unsatisfactory product as a necessity to staying warm in my living room for the time being. The 30,000 BTU heater is very satisfactory, the accessory fan is junk. Spare yourself the aggravation and find an alternative means to circulate the heat from the heater and skip the Dyna Glo fan. ... show more
