  • Looks great in photos, plan on hours of installation and headaches
This shed looks amazing in the photos and the video showing how to assemble it. It started missing 2 key parts to assemble the outer frame. I waited 2 weeks to get those parts shipped. I have spent the better part of 8 hours assembling this shed and still need to attach and assemble the doors. Based on other reviews that could be another 3-5 hours. I have pulled sides off and reattached them as the corners were either too long or to short. I thought I had assembled the frame incorrectly and reinspected that, it was just as the instructions stated. The roof, I can't reach the middle to put the screws in and to boot, the panels do not line up with the holes on the roof. I have one side that the panels hang off the shed by 1/2 an inch and the other side where they hang off 2 inches. I keep thinking I had to have done something wrong, but you can only assemble the frame one way. The roof panels also do not mesh cleanly together. After assembly, I have 4 leaks in it. I need to figure out where those are coming from. I did read someone used foam spray and I'll most likely start there to fix the leaks. All in all, I am starting to think in the case of this shed, you get what you pay for. I called to complain or get support and they did offer a discount, but wow, it really isn't worth the headache. I have assembled other sheds on my property and they went together just fine without any leaks. This one is a real pain. It is a shame because the seller has been responsive and helpful. I just wish their product went together correctly. After watching the video 20 times, I noticed on the roof panels in the video, the center trim piece is crooked. They couldn't get their own instruction video to line up. I still don't know if I can lay on the roof to get the final screws in the middle. I don't want to collapse it. At the end of the day, with spray foam or silicone, I'll get the roof to stop leaking. Don't buy this thinking it will be a quick assembly. I also recommend you build a subfloor to attach this so it remains level. Either that or put it on a level concrete pad. ... show more

  • Good looking, small hardware and plastic hard to handle.
This is a good looking product and what you’d expect for a metal shed. Easy setup, but hard parts are: 1. The plastic coating takes really long to pull off as it’s hard/sticky/tears easy. 2. Really small hardware trouble to handle. 3. Fair amount of light and air gets through the base and roof. You will need to fill it with foam or other. ... show more

  • Almost a great deal
Color: Dark Gray Size: 9X4FT
For the price, you get a lot with the 9x4 kit. With this price, delivered to your door (ultimately from China), there can't be much profit if any. The kit is packed well and the instructions are lego-style and completely sufficient. The metal is thin so you will have pieces that are dented/bent. Most can be bent back into shape, but be careful because it is easy to over bend. Based on the style and value, I would have given this a 4-star rating. One major flaw, every piece is covered in a thin "protective" plastic film and it's a pain in the *ss to take off. The large pieces come off in sheets but the bent pieces make it a mind-numbing experience. This is a big kit and it literally doubled the assembly time. Half the time was removing plastic and and half was building. AND, the plastic did seemingly nothing. It's so thin, plenty of pieces were still scratched. Insult to injury, the scratches made it even harder to remove the plastic because the plastic was cut while scratching the metal. This kit would have been a strong recommend from me if they just slipped paper between the pieces to avoid abrasion during shipping. I suspect if you leave the plastic on you will regret it after it spends some time outside. Overall, it's as flimsy but functional as you might expect for the price. Its look is significantly more valuable than the price. I'm glad I have it. I'm glad I didn't pay much. I hope to never assemble one again. :) Tips: - Use the predrilled holes to help you align and square everything. The corrugated metal can be push and pulled to line up. I didn't have to drill any holes except a couple where roof pieces intersected. - Use a screw gun (obviously), but don't over tighten the screws as they will strip out. The screws are harder than the metal so they are happy to just drill the hole bigger. - Build it on a level surface. The structure is very light weight and doesn't have much strength until the pieces are in place. This means nothing will be square until screwed together so give yourself the best chance of success - Wear the gloves that came with it. They actually prevent injury and you can cut off the tips of the first finger and thumb (just the very tips) to allow you to grab and hold screws. - You will need a step ladder. - Keep your expectations low and you will be happily surprised. :) ... show more
