I bought this to replace a miter saw I've had for a long time, I was a little skeptical at first, seeing to price, i was not disappointed. The blade installed cut amazing for a few test cuts, really clean cut. Dust collection on most saws just don't work very well, this is no exception, i will probably tie warp a vacuum hose lower on the main frame, if i use it indoors, outside no worries. I will test it more throughly soon, next project has a lot of small parts, perfect for this saw. ... show more

Overall: The saw does what it needs to do, cut. It does a well enough job as long as you practice patience. Works much better with a good blade on it. I am currently running a Spyder blade and it made me dislike it less. This saw will work well enough for house projects for the DIY person, not a contractor trying to get things done quickly. Pros: Value, comes with extra blades, has a laser, has a vice and extendable table. I like the sliding function. The laser is adjustable so you can sight it in. Cons: The start up speed is wildly slow. You have to wait a second or two to allow the blade to reach RPM. The slides are long, so you need to have some room when using it in chop saw mode as the slides are all the way back. Some saws have hinged arms that alleviate this. The blades it comes with are cheap, but its nice to burn through them, buys you some time until your next purchase of a proper blade. ... show more

This is my 1st miter saw. Others have complained about the slow startup, but I like it and think it will make the saw last longer. Love the laser guide, makes cutting on your mark so much easier. Using this saw is so much better and easier than using a circular saw.

Great for the money. Used it multiple times. I originally took the blade guard off but put it back on for safety. This works great and even came with the blade. I would buy it again.

The media could not be loaded. This saw is dangerous, spend extra money and purchase a miter saw from someone else. First time using it I almost lost my arm,face along with whatever else flew off. The blade came in contact with guard and threw shards of Inadequate plastic at me and jamed blad bending several parts as seen in video. Trying to contact DWT and sent pictures to attorney general to look into the workmanship of this saw. Just beware, cheap isn't safe, I can't believe Amazon would allow this saw on there site, but money is all it takes for Amazon to sell poor quality and poor operation that can injure someone. Poor workmanship, no interest in doing good ,quality equipment. Just beware, also blade is horrible won't cut,under powered. I'm not the only person that experienced this too. ... show more

From a function standpoint I would give this more than 3 stars but I'm disappointed that I relied on the product image to base purchasing a higher tooth count blade for cutting aluminum. The image is clearly marked with a 1" hole size for blades. it actually measure 1 3/16". So I'm stuck with waiting to receive a circular saw blade arbor reducer bushing from McMaser-Carr. ... show more
