This is my 1st miter saw. Others have complained about the slow startup, but I like it and think it will make the saw last longer. Love the laser guide, makes cutting on your mark so much easier. Using this saw is so much better and easier than using a circular saw.

I bought this to replace a miter saw I've had for a long time, I was a little skeptical at first, seeing to price, i was not disappointed. The blade installed cut amazing for a few test cuts, really clean cut. Dust collection on most saws just don't work very well, this is no exception, i will probably tie warp a vacuum hose lower on the main frame, if i use it indoors, outside no worries. I will test it more throughly soon, next project has a lot of small parts, perfect for this saw. ... show more

Overall: The saw does what it needs to do, cut. It does a well enough job as long as you practice patience. Works much better with a good blade on it. I am currently running a Spyder blade and it made me dislike it less. This saw will work well enough for house projects for the DIY person, not a contractor trying to get things done quickly. Pros: Value, comes with extra blades, has a laser, has a vice and extendable table. I like the sliding function. The laser is adjustable so you can sight it in. Cons: The start up speed is wildly slow. You have to wait a second or two to allow the blade to reach RPM. The slides are long, so you need to have some room when using it in chop saw mode as the slides are all the way back. Some saws have hinged arms that alleviate this. The blades it comes with are cheap, but its nice to burn through them, buys you some time until your next purchase of a proper blade. ... show more

It was really easy to set up. Fence and saw blade came squared. The only thing that needed adjustment was the laser light. It was a bit off, and it did take some effort to adjust. Saw is very powerful and with the two spreed feature, I could cut the soft metal at slower speed setting. It cuts treated 4x4 effortlessly. The build was not as refined as other name brands, yet at this price, it is totally acceptable. Overall, a good saw and I recommend it to whoever needs a working saw on the budget. 03/23/2025 update: I upgraded the review to five stars due to the excellent after-sales service from the manufacturer. The service was very prompt and effective to solve all my issues and concerns and I would grade the support the top notch support from the seller. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This saw is dangerous, spend extra money and purchase a miter saw from someone else. First time using it I almost lost my arm,face along with whatever else flew off. The blade came in contact with guard and threw shards of Inadequate plastic at me and jamed blad bending several parts as seen in video. Trying to contact DWT and sent pictures to attorney general to look into the workmanship of this saw. Just beware, cheap isn't safe, I can't believe Amazon would allow this saw on there site, but money is all it takes for Amazon to sell poor quality and poor operation that can injure someone. Poor workmanship, no interest in doing good ,quality equipment. Just beware, also blade is horrible won't cut,under powered. I'm not the only person that experienced this too. ... show more

I like the laser and it’s easy to use, but you do need a bit of space due to the arm lengths. My two big issues have been with the blade and the plastic guard. I believe one of the other reviews mentioned this. My plastic guard also broke in the midst of sawing and pieces flew everywhere. Thank goodness none of them landed in my eye, and it even threw the wood across my shed. Maybe if the blade was a better blade it wouldn’t have thrown the wood and broke the guard. Like I said it’s easy to use and I really like the laser. But it should come with a better blade and the guard needs to be made of something other than plastic. My Dewalt miter saw has a metal guard, but I realize I got what I paid for. So I’m 50/50 on my review because I do realize it is not an expensive saw however, I do believe it should be a little more safe. ... show more

I bought this saw to cut thin guage steel log siding primarily. We are building a 1500 sf garage and 2100 scf house. So lots of cuts and it works great for that. Also cutting pine tounge and groove for the interior and it easily handled that as well. Extremely pleased with the purchase. When I needed to get a new blade I contacted DWT and they were prompt and helpful with the solution. I would reccomend this saw to anyone. ... show more
